   Has anyone here seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? I know that the songs on this album were inspired by a break up of hers, so I doubt it's based on the movie, but it fits all too well to just be a coincidence.

   I think this breakup took her by suprise. She wasnt expecting him to be gone and he didnt even say goodbye when he left. She was left wondering what actually went wrong, the more she does the more confused she gets because only he can answer that particular question. She acknowledges that she's not perfect (I know I have a fickle heart/ and a bitterness/ and a wondering eye and a heaviness in my head) but hopes he can remember her and how much he loves/loved her and come back to her.
   
   If anyone knows about the 5 stages of grief theyl agree that the 5 stages are evident in the songs on the album 21. This song in particular is portraying Stage 3 of grief - Bargaining.

   This is my song.. this is what exactly happened to me and to my one & only great love..    I think this song is about people that always take things for granted in life. After the relationship gone, the emptiness feeling they can't deny. Especially for their first crush and soulmate destined.
