Morte Et Dabo Lyrics
Morte et Dabo
So he came forth and said unto me
son you are forsaken
condemned for the sins that you live
I offer you forgiveness
Bow down before me
Bow down before me
I'll never bow to he who claims to be...

This article is about how Danny really portrays the song. "Morte Et Dabo was written to be the most evil, blasphemic song it could be. The only fictitious song on the record, about slaying god and tearing apart everything in the heavens. A real 'hell on earth' track. Not really much to say about it beyond that. It's fucking murderous." Just so we're clear. Danny is an atheist..

This song pretty much and argument between God And Lucifer so if anyone saying he made this song because he doesn't believe in God is wrong its the stoy of Lucifer getting out casted of heaven.

I believe this song is about God making mistakes by creating people who piss others off...This is what Danny has said in an interview..It is ment to show hate towards people who piss you off and you blame god for putting them on this earth

Well first of all. There drummer is a christian so if this song was from danny's point of view then I don't think the drummer would have any part in it. Second off Morte Et Dabo means the gift of death. God can't die so how in anyway do you expect danny or any of the band members to be serious about gouging jesus's eyes out?

I think it's quite obviously referring to the Christian god. It could be some other religion, that believes in a heaven & hell though. I never thought about the lyrics being the perspective of Satan, Lucifer, the Devil, etc; and his plot for revenge. but i think it's spot on: "I'm creeping from the depths of hell."
I highly doubt it's about a female, basically because throughout the song they site "God", "Lord", "he", and only once do they say "bitch." and bitch is not just reserved for females. bitch is often used to degrade a fellow man. One line does say, "Bitch, i'll fucking find you," but just 1 measure later they say, "Lord, i'll fucking find you." So, obviously in those two lines bitch and Lord refer to the same thing.
That's my take.

There is no way you can say this isn't about god and satan because in the very begining it is talking about god trying to offer satan forgiveness but he refuses. No where else besides the bible does it refer to that one event, so try to deny it as you will but it is about satan wanting to destroy god

It's clearly about the christian god. Very clearly.

I definitely believe the song is about the devils plot against God. It has nothing to do with the band being atheist.

This song (whatever the title means) is definitly evil. Anyone with enough balls to write something like about God and actually share it with people to bring them down is the devils handy man. This song is difinitly about Satan wanted to tear God down.

Morte et Dabo translates to "The Gift Of Death." This is what Danny said in an interview. The song is a FICTIONAL song from Lucifer's point of view about god.

Bryan stars interviewed him about this song the band said they were merely just writing fiction like most of their music is they arent atheist

That was an official release from the band and the writer.

I think if you look further than just a song, you find a storyline in the two albums, reckless and relentless being the result of stand up and scream. The whole time, the main character is slowly getting worse, though at some points he is realizing what hes doing, he just cant get out. In morte et dabo, the main character is angry at god for letting it all happen, for taking away his love, for making him who he is. So hes wandered away from god to the point that he now wants to take arms against god, because he has become so possessed with the demons hes played with. Pretty sure this whole battle refers to armagaedon. Totally spelled that wrong... touch up on your bible more cause it says all those who oppose god will fight him in the end, with that attitude and hate expressed in morte st dabo.

anybody who says its from the perspective of the devil is wrong, lmao. "bitch ill fucking find you... i know ehere you sleep" blah blah blah, first of all God is not a "bitch" people consider him a male. and 2nd God doesnt sleep so just for all you people who think its about killing God think again because i hate to break it to you but God doesnt sleep because He is God.
