This song is just about not letting others run your life or letting others tell you what to do all the time. It's about saying "It's My Life and I'm gonna do what I wanna do."

All I know about this song is that "Tommy and Gina" is the characters that appeared in "Livin on a Prayer."

Also, "Frankie said I did it my way" is a reference to Frank Sinatra. Not sure if it was a Sinatra lyric or song title...but Sinatra nonetheless.

Yeah, this song is more or less about doing the things you wanna do despite what other people say. you're only gonna live for the years you're gonna live, so live them.

This is a very cool song I think the music video says it all

What it means is there's no telling when you will die so live it while you can to the extreme.

The first lines sets the stage. It is going to be about love, break-ups, broken hearts. But it is not for the broken-hearted, so if your heart is broken this song isn't for you. It is actually for the one, who broke your heart!

"I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd" - I am not going to be like the others, who just stay still not looking for fun. I want to show my personality by doing wild stuff.

"You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud" - I am not ashamed if you see me/hear me doing something, that you don't approve.

"My heart is like a open highway" - I am open for other people.
"I did it my way" - I feel guilt, but I am not going to admit it.

I can keep going on, but I think this song can be used, when being accused of flirting/not being faithful. It is a hymn for someone, who wants to live wild and isn't going to stay put.

This song has a good meaning that people need to listen too more. we spend are entire life living for someone else our parents, spouse, all this stuff and fitting in the static quo. Even though live your life how you want it what makes you happy. This song may have different meaning to different people and change with time. It also can mean to people to do anything for love the lyrics "The Hart Is a Open Highway" and it's much better explained in the video of this boy risking his life to get to a a girl at a bon jovi concert in a tunnel.
