   This songs is about how everyone is chained down by the generalizations of today or our generation/world, ex. Getting married, working towards a new phone (crude device) Time should not be wasted. There are many ways to heaven/happiness. It is about how its not to0 late to just feel alive instead of hurrying to a "dream" which in the beginning makes us think...what even is a dream? But if you are to have one why not make it extraordinary? The end is genius and beautiful saying "I was lost then and I am lost now and I doubt I will ever now which way to go." Its saying basically that no one has the answers. I think this song is about someone or a family who has endured so much and they either realize or have realized that they got caught up in what they never wanted or why should they waste time on what they know isnt them. Many routes. One destination. They realize that they are buying into lies but if they take their own glorious route they know that it will bring them alive opposed to these so called dreams that are just planned out and will only make them vaporize/die.

   Or the generalizations of our time
   "A crude device" (technology to be our dream, ex working towars a blackberry) and "A viel on our eyes" (marriage). It's says were did all that time go?People need to realize that yea, you may need or want to get married and yea you can have a dream but when will we just settle for what is or for less (in a good way thought) its basically saying that there all different and beautiful ways to heaven/and or heaven ...at the end is genius and beautiful its either a fmily saying to each other or a lover to lover or father to daughter..."I was lost thenetc." This part is saying no one has the answer/answers so do the best you can and capture time and don't be caught up in this and that and oh I got to hurry and get married. Just enjoy time and life, because every time you don't it brings you back to the verse (a sad one, if I may add)..."where did the time go".
