This song is in the point of view of the Giants stadium. The stadium is saying that it has seen and been through a lot. As you know the Giants stadium has been knocked down and a new stadium was built next to it. Springsteen is writing in this song and letting the reader know that the stadium is saying come on do what ever you want in still gonna be strong no matter what, even if you knock me down with your wrecking ball!
