This is the real meaning of the song as told by the lead singer of clutS&T:
Are you a tech-head? You've got a song that looks like binary code ("10001110101") but it doesn't mean anything.
Neil: Yeah it doesn't really mean anything. You know, the fact that it doesn't mean anything has really upset some, a lot of people. I think they're expecting some kind of hidden command. Well the thing is to actually say something in binary code it would have to be a series of ones and zeros that would go on for a considerable length of time.
S&T: Right you'd have three and a half minutes of 1-0-1-1-0-1...
Neil: Yeah. You know I might be able to get the word "Hi" in there but I think that might be a little cutesy.
S&T: Plus you'd never be able to remember it.
Neil: No, no.

If you ever watch the brak show, in episode 22 "coma" thundercleese is in love with a vacuum cleaner and recites her a poem. That poem is 10001110101 over and over. It aired 10-12-2003. The clutch album came out in 2005. So I figure they may have just gotten it off that.

If you break that up into 11 and 41 and look on the periodic table of elements you will see that the 2 elements that are referenced are Sodium and Nobium. If you Google these two together you will see a bunch of pages come up about a rare mineral called pyrochlore. Pyrochlore contains these two elements and is radioactive. Hence the line "radioactive don't go near it, periodic table with a centerpiece of mind"

There is a long, ancient, sumerian text this is linked to. I've been studying it for years. Before translation, if you cycle through to the 10,001,110,101 word, you come to the first word of this passage: ergah teros undalum meriah phalos gerenta. Which translated means "The way your prophet breaks his bread does not speak the future." Apparently Mephirostus, the writer of the text, was trying to tell his followers that they were stupid to overanalyze his work when he himself had said it means nothing. Clearly, this is no coincidence and the band was warning it's fans to not look like idiots.
The prophets have failed.

It seems to me that they already knew what most of the possible interpertations would. Read the lyrics and then read all of the submissions. Looks like they wrote a song to make fun of us for trying to figure out what it means. Just try enjoy the genius of the lyrics and how great the music is.

I can interpret this only one way, you guys look into this stuff too much! It's fun to see what it could be but, not everything has a specific meaning, sometimes we wish it did. I don't think this one has a meaning, just a good jam. Sit back, have a whiskey and rye, pat the dog, feel the music and move on, I am.

Ok.. let me simply reitarate the fact.. This is not a correct line of binary code.. for a line of code to be de-coded, it needs to be diviaable by 8. That is one of the basic things to learn about binary encription. and if you look back at the first page of interpretations, someone pasted part of and interview with neil (lead singer) ans simply states it was meaningless.

Similar to the monolith in 2001 A space odyssey, which is three by two by one, it seems to be logical groupings of the numerals, zero and one.
As sang in the chorus: one zero then a pause - the most basic form of zero and one.
Then: zero zero one one - two of each - the next most logical form.
Followed by: one zero one zero one alternating - which would be the next most common option in listing them.

Well in places where meth is bad using the CD. It's listed on the disc as 100,011,10101 this is binary for 4, 3 and 21. and on the Periodic table all them numbers match up to be used for meth in one way or another but then agin like the band says it means nothing and people are just nuts for sying things like this

I like the 15th one down from the top on page 3 and 12th on page 2, because they made me lol. but I also like the 17th one down on page 2, saying about the "long, ancient, sumerian text" about how prophets break bread. but seriously though, it wasn't supposed to mean anything, as Clutch said.
