Lodi is the name of several US cities and the one in which John Foggerty is suspected of referring to in the CCR hit "Lodi" is in California. Hence: "Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Lodi again."

This song is about a struggling singer who arrives in a town and gets stuck in a rut of performing at a dive. Perhaps it's reminiscent of an experience John Fogerty had when he started into the music business...
