I think that this song is saying how em feels about the way his life has been going, I mean from being nothing and nobody, to being so famous that you can't walk down the street anymore with out people pulling you aside to try and talk, or all the fake people that are just with you cause they know you got money and respect, it also shows how he wishes that he could trade places with someone to be able to see what it is like to live a normal life again, and in turn give someone the chance to see what he has to go thru and how hard it is, this song is just like the title "Beautiful"

It seems there are a few possible interpretations here - mostly about how we're stuck with what we've got (our lives personalities, etc) and we've got to deal with that - positively even. He's also saying we're all worth something, despite our 'bullshit hands' we're all beautiful. Pretty much whatever life throws at you, don't give up or change for anyone - like he did when he was a kid - trying to impress them by sticking his tongue to....a stop sign? I can't remember.
Secondly, he's shot up from a poor nobody with a fucked up life, to this amazing famous person with a million people kissing his ass - he can't trust or ever be on his own - and he wants us to understand that. Maybe that his life still isn't great, he wants us to 'feel [his] pain' and understand that everyone's got issues. His upbringing was clearly shit, but he knows he's got to get out of it - deal with what God gave him and appreciate it even.
Finally, he's clearly going through a pretty tough time, I know nothing about his life but he says he's 'so fucking depressed' and trying to get out of a slump. But he's trying you know? And knows that he isn't alone with problems, and that we should all 'be proud of who [we] are' and let the hater go fuck themselves.

I think this song is about what is going on in Eminem's life, and it shows on the first line: "I feel so depressed" He says about not knowing if he wants to be a rapper anymore. I also think that Eminem is trying to send a message out to the world: "God gave you shoes that fit you" means that God has given you certain gifts in your life and you should be thankful for them and not take them for granted. He is telling you to be yourself and be how you think you should be, not what other people think you should be.

His drug addiction for sure..sophiiee knows whats up. Another one of his tracks, "Im not afraid" is also embracing his addiction and his recovery from drugs and or alcohol. I too was in rehab and one thing we did was listened to different music about recovery and Im not afraid was the first track we
heard..after really paying close attention i understand the message he is trying to pass along to anybody who will listen being able to look deeper into whats really in front of you is a skill they teach u when coping with addiction. If u look beneath the surface of these lyrics you will find its true meaning.

I feel that he wants us to respect ourselves. He has went down this road so many times. Between his career and his love life he just forgot what it feels like not to be Eminem but Marshal Mathers. Most people learn from their own mistakes. He's giving us the chance not to make his and not have our lives turn upside. His life went topsy turvy but he's still trying to bring his career and life into the light and show it's alright to mess up in a while. Honestly, I feel in my perspective he wants us to go our own ways that we feel is necessary and forget what people say and stay true to you and your true colors. No one will ever change you are and will be. He has gone through so many life changes that he refuses to see anyone else hurt.

This is about how people judge people and they think that they understand what people are going through. But the truth is that people would have to walk 1000 miles in others shoes for them to understand what someone is going through. Everyone tries to act like they understand everyone's problems and they judge others and act like they are better than others. When, to actually know a person, to judge them, they would have to walk 1000 miles in the other person's shoes. It's about being tired of all the judgemental people in the world needing to shut up and realize that they dont actually know everything and that judging people is stupid when they dont know them.

I think that em's beginning to doubt himself and is kind of tired of the way fame is treating him. He has had a hard life but hes telling us to "just stay true to you".

I think it's about ems life and how it's been hard and he doesn't want to go back that road again.
When Eminem wrote this song he was in rehab for his drug addiction he wrote his first verse while in rehab and the went home and finished it.in his song he is talking about how hard his life has been and how easily he would like to switch places with you by using the metaphor "in my shoes" he is saying how you should stand in someone else shoes and see what they go through in life and see how they feel before you start judging them. At the end of the song he makes a refrence to his daughter hailie and his niece Laney by saying " yeah, to my babies stay strong, daddy will be home soon."

that everyone needs to know who they are and stop trying be like other people. People are beautiful just the way they are and they shouldnt listen to others who want to change them

In this song I believe that Eminem is trying to say how rapping has changed him life for the better and for the worst. He had to deal with a lot of things in his life and all of that was put in the media, and was criticized by the public for what he thought was right. He is trying to say that no one really knows what it's like to be him, and that the only way they would if they would "walk in his shoes." Also he is trying to convince other people not to care about anyone else says about you, cause only you truly know what you have to go through. The main theme that popped into my head was that: why try to be someone else when your "shoes" were made for you, and you should be proud of who you are because your special.
I think this song is about problems. Everyone have their "shit" to deal with. And every time it's a problem. "Look at shit through each other eyes". No matter with who you change sides, everyone will have their "shit", but everyone's is different. With that "be yourself", we're changing to avoid problems, everyone has a part that is "Beautiful" in his "shoes", changing yourself just removes the Beautiful part. No one is ideal, and if you try to be ideal, you're probably "looking for extra attention", and won't be like "the rest [you]".
Eminem songs have nothing to interpret really. it's all there.
He's message is clear "Be proud of who you are and don't ever let anyone tell you you ain't beautiful" and he also gives examples with his own life of how you shouldn't really bother to fit in with the rest (that's overrated).
anyways great song great message go eminem

I think eminem was just saying hes tired of every body just sucking up to him to get stuff out of him.And he was like saying dont let anybody say like you dont matter. And he was saying like try living his life and doing what hes doing because its hard especialy with the fans crowding him and people trying to get stuff out of him.
