   He's talking about when Proof, his best friend, died he was going through a hard time. He started drugs again, contemplated suicide (which is what he means when he says "only thing I fear is Hailie I'm affraid if I close my eyes I might see her". He's scared of seeing Hailie being depressed, sad and lonely if he kills himself.)    Talking about him being on drugs and and feeling great and telling himself he's fine...when he really needs help (which he mentions). Its ruining his life and changing his life. It eventually gets bad enough to where he ends up in hospital. After that he starts on his comeback and makes it through and again going rhrough more changes
