"I walk with shadows (you have to find a better way) I walk with shadows (the questions I will never say) Hiding from the gallows (they keep me safe and sound) So I walk with shadows (the ways of burning down this house)"

"There's a place that I've found, as far as I can see this place lies within the depths of my dreams" his conscience there's a man with an axe...looked me staright in the eyes this is what he had to sya, never fall asleep you won't wake up destroy the guillotine...obviously whatever it is that his conscience is feeling guilty about will kill him. Symbolically. "I walk with shadows...hiding from the gallows..." feeling guilty. my assumption is that he did something bad to another person and he can't even look at them because he feels so guilty about it. Referring to "hiding from the gallows" as the other person. "I need an earthquake to shake this pity off the ground" he feels sorry for himself for committing such a monstrosity. ~steph~
