Through the years of listening to this song, I always imagined a woman singing about a lost love, someone who had died..but she still loved him and was still devoted to him, and people thought she was crazy for it. But now when I listen to it, I'm starting to think about it in a christian way.... Like, maybe Amy is singing about her relationship with Jesus. Even in death, their love goes on...like...i dunno, he died for her?? like he died for everyone else? So she still loves him and some people (non believers) thought she was crazy, or stupid for it. -Angela Congrove MusicalGrl1016@aol.com

I think this song is about Amy's younger sisters death. "Moonlight on the soft brown earth/It leads me to where you lay/They took you away from me/But now I'm taking you home" Means that she found herself standing upon her sisters grave. And she wants to take her home. But yet she can't love her anymore because its driving others to think she's crazy. "Some say I'm crazy for my love/oh my love" But she will always love her. Even through death.

I don't think that it's about Bonnie (Amy's dead sisster). She's sung Even in Death live, and, as someone pointed out earlier, she doesn't sing live about her sister, as it's to hard. However, I've heard rumors that Amy said in an interview that it wasn't personal, but that she had known someone who hadn't wanted to accept the person they loved was dead, and they had tried to 'unbury' her.

Ok this song has NOTHING to do with Amy or the rest of the band or Amy's sister.. they wrote this song about a movie they saw idk what movie... at the end of the song it says "People die but real love is forever" That was the tagline of the movie

I honestly think it's about Amy's sorrow for her dead sister. "Moonlight on the soft brown earth it leads me to where you lay" It leads Amy to her sister's grave. "Even in Death our love goes on" Even though Bonnie is dead Amy still loves her so much

I think that it is about how her love died, and I don't think it is about her sister b/c on the website they said there was only two songs about her sister: "Hello" and "Like You". Amy Lee is saying that the ghost or spirit is haunting her, and she can't tell if it is real or just in her mind.

The only 3 songs dealing with Amy's sister are "Breath No More", "Like You", and "Hello" (look it up). This song is about a couple. The male dies and the lyrics are from the female's point of view. She is saying that their love lives on despite his death. I guess it can go both ways (male or female) but since Amy's sining I'm gonna say female. But yeah, that's what I got out of it.

I think that this song is about a person who has just lost the one she loves, and has gone crazy. She refuses to except his death because she loves him so much.
