I may be wrong so feel free to correct me.
I see this song about someone (let's say a girl) who has apparently been through some horrible situations with past relationships and has been left hurting and untrusting. Then, along comes this other person who is caring and understanding and is truly the "perfect" person for her to be with. Sadly, she doesn't trust anyone anymore because of the hurtful relationship, and tries to deny the fact that this person will be the one that will help her heal.
In the song, she is realizing that this person is her "only strength" and she "can't go on anymore" without him.
I love this song and Amy's voice is absolutely beautiful!

I think she wrote it thinking in religious terms, but I do not interpret it in that way. I interpret it as a relationship, one that isn't good for her, so she strays, but has nowhere else to. She'd rather be with someone who isn't good for her, than with no one. I don't have any specific evidence within the lyrics that she is in fact in 'bad' relationship, but that's the feeling I get from the song.

I think she was deeply in love with someone and that someone died and she feels like she's lost everything, I don't know if that's the meaning but that's what I got from it.

Sorry...I don't quite know the interpretation. But I do know that it's not about Christ. The only two spiritual songs they have is Whisper and Tourniquet.

I would have to aggree with Immortalnight. She says that she can't lie anymore and she falls down before him which could mean she's tired of lying to herself that he's not the one to make it better. She says she's so sorry for being so bitter to him.

I think it could definitely be interpreted in more than one way. The song is obviously a love song. But there's no reason it can't be written in religious terms. They're allowed to have more than 2 spiritual songs, you know? ;] Heck, it could be both.
