I think the title is the movie Sixteen Candles and the song Touch Me. The song is about a guy and a girl who really like each other, and she was waiting for him to ask her out, or whatever. She keeps giving him chances ( boy with too many chances)But it takes to long and finally she gets a different boyfriend. I also think in doing so she may have told him off ( she said why don't you just drop dead).I don't blame you for being you, but you can't blame me for hating it. She was 'being her' by just going with another guy, and he hates it. So next time he wants to be pushed along, so say what are you waiting for kiss her kiss her, so that he does not lose the girl. Set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late. That is really obvious, he was too late asking her. Also in the song I think he shows how perfect, or popular this girl is. Things like, your just the girl all the boys want to dance with, and You can make all the moves, you can aim all the spotlights
Get all the sighs and the moans just right. That's all I got! ;)

I agree with whoever said the video (Sixteen Candles) and the song (Touch Me) are two different things because I think the song if about a guy who likes a popular girl, but the girl isn't interested (You're just the girl all the boys wanna dance with. And I'm just the boy who's had too many chances.) But the video is all about Pete being a vampire. :|

I think this song is about boy who's finally gotten up the guts to ask out the most popular girl in school hints the line "cause your just the girl all the boys want to dance with" after she's been giving him clear hints that she wants to got out with him. He probably taken a few of them but backed out of those too and then begged for her forgiveness again hints the line "i'm sleeping on your folks porch AGAIN". I guess cause this date was a really big deal he had to make a formal apology so he wrote this song.

he starts out by saying how sorry's no long going to cut it and how he shouldn't even bother going over to see if the girl is still wait for him at their agreed meeting. Also puts in how bad he feels about standing her up b/c he knows she got all dolled up for him and about how he knows she will never live down this embarrassment. However he then remembers that she’s the most popular girl in school and that the real person who’s going to suffer from this is him b/c he will probably never get another shot at a girl this fabulous again. Therefore he figures out that the only things to do is go to her house and stay there tell she forgives him

he’s hopes is that while he’s there that she will come out and he can explain why he deserves another change but he knows all she’s going to say is what are you waiting for; however since he’s only human and a guy he knows that he’s not going to listen to a thing she’s b/c she so damn hot she is and how if he just kisses her all his problems will go away but instead of doing he just promises to set clocks early b/c he knows he always late.

After he says this though she just roles her eyes and makes a comment like “whatever” and “that’s not going to happen.” And he retaliates by saying “write me off give up on me cause darling what did you expect.” Cause you just thing “I’m off a lost cause” fine “don’t event take this bet.” So he decides to prove her wrong by doing something like order a hotel sweet dressing it up all nice b/c he things if he has sex with her or something he’ll get back in her good graces. So he tells her all about that she should go up there to wait for b/c he going to come home and change since he all sweaty from working. However he get there and while he’s dressing his buddies come over and they start playing video games and he forgets all about the girl waiting for him in the hotel room and then once he’s back where he started.

Now I’m not quite sure how the bridge fits into things but if I had to guess based on what I’ve written above he wants to point out that she has flaws to and that she shouldn’t be so focused on his. But he’s not going to call her out on it b/c he doesn’t blame her for being her and the whole scenario starts all over again. She thinks about all this through out the final interlude and after its over he assures her that he defenatly will set his clocks early this b/c he knows he's always late

I know for sure that this is the meaning of the song:

It is about a guy who has TWO girlfriends. One he wants to start a life with, and the second one, he likes to have fun and have sex with. So one of them finds out and he really wants her back, hence the "Droppin' "Im sorry" Like your still around. &
I'm sleeping on your folk's porch again, dreaming
She said, she said, she said, "Why don't you just drop dead?"

and for the rest of the song... I don't know.

The first part of the title (A Little Less Sixteen Candles) is taken from a movie and so is the second (I've JUST seen those movies...and those names JUST slipped outta my head)
The song talks about two kind of girls :1. The kind you really love and 2.the kind you want to sleep with.
The girl he loves found out things about him and doesn't forgive him eventhough he's REALLY sorry. Also, when she finds out she talls him to 'drop dead' and its just like her not to give second chances. He hates that.
Now he does not try to force her or win her by force.
But I'm not very sure about what he meant by- "I've set my clocks early cause I know I'm always late"..maybe that he's going to try again and better.
The Vampires in the video and be realted to the different types of cliques...just like there are different kinds of vampires.So.Yeah.

I honestly think that this song is about Peter Wentz cheating on some girl, and she catches him... and she says "What are you waiting for, kiss her, kiss her" and the whole reason why he did that was because he didn't love the girl. She did things that he liked, but she didn't mean anything to him.

You people are ridiculous and naive. It is about Pete who likes this girl and she likes him back, nothing about her being popular or anything about vampires or "dead horses". geeze. He likes the girl and he wants to sleep with her, but she won't because she wants to wait till she's sixteen. He hates that and tries to pressure her, so they aren't going out anymore, he's trying to get her back but she won't have a bar of it. Hence the title, "a little less sixteen candles" and the rest of it is a from a song by Samantha Fox that is like about sex and stuff or something, and and little more "touch me" or "sex" and that why "touch me is in quotes. duh

The song name, A Little Less Sixteen Candles A Little More "Touch Me" is basically saying enough with the romantic bullshit lets have sex and doesn't tie in with the song, really.

Well, if you've ever seen 16 candles it's about a girl named Samantha Baker who wasn't exactly popular but she wasn't geeky and she wanted to date this guy Jake Ryan who just happened to be the popularist guy in the school, unfortunately the geekiest guy in school liked HER. Her birthday went like crap because nobody in her house remembered, but she finally got him for her b-day. Basically I think this song is about a person just like Samantha or even the geeky guy. They like this one person soooo much but no matter what they do they can't escape the peer pressure, the taunts, the "oh you'll never get him" or the "geeks," "nerds," or whatever other names they had to endure. They like this person so much they don't want to let the pressure get to them and give up on going for that person, but it's really hard because they are afraid the person'll lose interest in them or...they will run out of time. They are afraid that the experience will change them, and the way they view themselves and others.

I think the songs about two people in a fight
(I don't blame you, for being you, but you can't blame me for hating it)
He kinda wants to get back together (Kiss her)and feels bad (sitting on your front porch again dreaming, she said x3 why don't you just drop dead)
but she's too dramatic and won't get down to business (the title)

Ok FOB is one of my favorite bands and this is one of my favorite songs. I never really understood it until I went out with this girl in ninth grade (last year) and I obsessed over her. She was awful to me and I was always apologizing but I never thought she was wrong so I let it go, which is what I think the message of the song is

I'll accept you for you but that doesn't mean I have to agree with the things you do. A mutual agreement.

My interpretation of this song is that who ever the narrator is wanted to go out with this girl, and had oh so many chances to ask her out, but missed them all

I confess, I messed up
dropping "I'm sorry" like you're still around-he wanted to ask her out, and now its to late (shes gone)

hey kid you'll never live this down-hes never going to forget that he messed up so bad

'Cause you're just the girl all the boys want to dance with
And I'm just the boy who's had too many chances- she's got all the boys attention (duh) and he can't get to her now, but he could have in the past

I don't blame you for being you
But you can't blame me for hating it-he doesn't really hate her, he just hates that she is so pretty/popular and he can't get to her now

So say, what are you waiting for?
Kiss her, kiss her-his friends told him to go for it

I set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late-he was to late (again, duh)

Write me off, give up on me
Cause darling, what did you expect
I'm just off a lost cause
a long shot, don't even take this bet- this is the narrator being down on himself. He's saying why should she even ever bother with him, cause he is such a loser. but, he still maybe loves her

I believe the song to be about a couple, not hard.

"I confess, I messed up
Droppin, "I'm sorry", like you're still around"
The guy in the relationship screwed up, did something wrong or whatever and he is trying to get back with her, but she moved on and I think has a new boyfriend.

And I know you dressed up
"hey kid, you'll never live this down"
Seems like whatever happened happened at a formal event and that makes him feel worse

You're just the girl all the boys want to dance with
And I'm just a boy who's had too many chances
She is popular and hot and he has screwed up before

I'm sleeping on your folk's porch again, dreaming
She said, she said, she said, "Why don't you just drop dead?"
he tries to be close to her and win her back by sleeping on her porch, all he can think about is the breakup day

I don't blame you for being you
But you can't blame me for hating it
he doesn't like her for ending it and not giving him another chance

So say, "What are you waiting for? Kiss her! Kiss her!"
I set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late
he wants her to accept the apology he also is showing that he is ready to make change to please her by setting his clocks early

Write me off, give up on me
'Cause darling what did you expect
I'm just off a lost cause
A long shot, don't even take this bet
he is realizing that he sucks and he was not a good boyfriend and agrees now that it is okay for her to want to leave but he wants another chance

You can make all the moves, you can aim all the spotlights
Get all the sighs and the moans just right
to him she is the best and he is probably in love with her from the obsession over her supposed perfection

Always on (always on)
You said you'd keep me honest
Always on (always on)
But I won't call you on it
Always on (always on)

in here we find out finally what he did wrong,
he cheated on her and he has cheated on previous girlfriends
she said that she could change him but he cheated anyways and now he wants her because he realizes he is in love

I think this is about a girl out of a guys league but she likes him regardless and wishes he would ask her out. He doesn't because he is possibly too nervous or some reason. He waits too long and she basically tells him to "drop dead". He instantly regrets his haste and tries his best in vein to get her back "sleeping on your folks porch again"

This is obviously a relationship song (duh!) I personally think that it is about a boy who cheated on his girlfriend (I'm just a boy whos had to many chances) P.S. Most every fall out boy music video I've seen hasn't gone with the song, like at all. I.e. Sugar were going down, and The take over the breaks over. P.S.S. I love the music video for this song. Pete Wentz is so hot as a vampire! (i'm a girl)

I think this song is about a guy dating a girl but always being late for dates and always just keeping her waiting for everything (cause you know he's always late) and she tells him off and breaks up with him (why don't you just drop dead) and he gets upset and wants to try to fix things but she won't let him in the house to talk so he just sits there (sleeping on your folks porch again) and she is just a perfect/beautiful girl (your just the girl all the boys wanna dance with) and she gave him so many chances cause she liked him but then realized he wasn't mature (and I'm just the boy who's had too many chances)

thats my interpretation

"I confess, I messed up
Droppin, 'I'm sorry', like you're still around
And I know you dressed up
'hey kid, you'll never live this down'"

He knows it was a mistake to wait as long as he did to tell her how he felt about her. He feels he'll always regret that.

"You're just the girl all the boys want to dance with
And I'm just a boy who's had too many chances"

All the boys would love to be with her and he had many chances to tell her how he felt and actually get her but didn't take them.

"I'm sleeping on your folk's porch again, dreaming
She said, she said, she said, 'Why don't you just drop dead?'"

He finally tells her how he feels but it's to late. She's most likely with another guy. He tries hard to win her over but she's angry that he waited so long.

"I don't blame you for being you
But you can't blame me for hating it
So say, "What are you waiting for? Kiss her! Kiss her!"
I set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late"

He understands that she had to move on with her life but he also hates that she did. Either his friends or his conscience was the one telling him to just kiss her when he had the chance but he didn't. And it was to late when he finally tried to.

"Write me off, give up on me
'Cause darling what did you expect
I'm just off a lost cause
A long shot, don't even take this bet"

He already feels she gave up on him and he doesn't blame her. He feels as if he isn't worth anything, especially not her and that she shouldn't expect a lot from him.

"You can make all the moves, you can aim all the spotlights
Get all the sighs and the moans just right"

He's saying he can do everything perfectly to win her over but either way, it's to late.
