Barely stuttered out "A joke of a romantic" or {just} stuck to my tongue Weighed down with words too over-dramatic Tonight it's "it can't get much worse" Vs. "no one should ever feel like.." I'm two quarters and a heart down And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds These words are all I have so I'll write them So you need them just to get by Here is the meaning of the whole "I'm two quarters and a heart down..." Refer to falloutboyrock.com asked by Kelly on 2006-02-01 14:35:00 What does "im two quarters in a heart down" mean? answered by Peter on 2006-02-01 17:58:00 i was trying to through to someone on a payphone, it was a 50 cent call from where I was to them. Then he's saying he's gonna write to relieve his sadness and express himself, as Pete does.

and I also think this girl didn't give it up to this guy cause 'why don't you show me the little bit of spine you've been saving for his mattress, love' basically saying you didn't give it up and you are saving it up from him and 'i only want sympathy in the form of you crawling into bed with me' is saying he only wants sympathy if it's gonna result in sex of some kind and dance, dance mean all you have to do is just dance cause you just got your heart broken so all you have to do is dance cause you can't dwell on it....

It's mainly jsut about the title, "dance, dance"... Many people say it is either about a dance or moving on, but I think it is about the girl in the song being controlling. Think about it - "dance, dance, and these are the lives you love to lead!" you know, like the guy is a puppet and she is the puppet master, or something along those lines. Then once you get that concept into your head, the rest of the song kinda makes more sense. Well to me anyways... Just a thought!

" She says she's no good wiht words but Im worse" when somebody breaks up with someone there allways like, I don't now how to say this, but he is even more sshcocked and doesn't know what to say "barely stuttere out a joke of a romantic or it just to my tongue" he's not exactly sure what he said " weighed down with words to overdramatic" take that litterallly , his responses are all cheesy and cornny, like the next line " tonight its I can't get much worse, vs. no one should ever feel like"

Oh, yeah, someone also said that Patrick Stump wrote the lyrics: no. He writes the music.

for anyone that has ever watched 'the simpsons' Fall out boy is the name of a character that is the sidekick of radioactive-man (a comic that bart collects). It's of the episode where bart auditions for the part to be 'fall out boy' in a radioactive-man movie. Quite intresting!

so he sidles to her and tries to tell her a joke but his tongue was stuck and he just make, 'ph-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b' noises instead of telling a real joke. and then he says,"oh well, it can't get any worse." but then the chorus starts up and everyone starts jumping on the floor and it DOES get worse because they make a huge hole in the floor and everyone falls in and then the boy falls into the punch bowl and breaks his spine and blames it on his matress. And then he says, "THIS CANT GET ANY WORSE!" But it does and more people start jumping on the floor because the chorus starts up again only there's NO MORE floor becos they destroyed it already so they jump really high .... and fall through the hole and die. and misery loves them.

-lol, this line means that she says she not a good person and she says even better than the narrator, at least that's what I think it means. *Barely stuttered out, "A joke of a romantic," stuck to my tongue. -meaning he thought she almost said that the relationship they are in does not make sense and is a joke, stuck to my tongue means he was about to say it. *Weighed down with words too over-dramatic. -she talks about their relationship in a complaining tone *Tonight it's "It can't get much worse" vs. "No one should ever feel like..." -hmmmm, I am not sure once again but I think this means that he is wondering if it is better to think about things getting worse or wondering about no one should have to go through what he is going through. *I'm two quarters and a heart down. lol, this is big line , you know why, he did not say half of half but he says two quater not becuase he was trying to make the song kewler its because he is trying to show she is tearing his heart very slowly that it is going away in quarters. *And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds. - she going away so much , he seems to forget how she is, probally because she is a sleeping around a lot with other guys *These words are all I have so I'll write them. So you need them just to get by. - I have no idea but I will tease the line by saying taht it means , that he has nothing to say but a few stuff and she need them to keep anything left in the relationship. *Dance, Dance We're falling apart to half time. Dance, Dance And these are the lives you'd love to lead. Dance This is the way they'd love if they knew how misery loved me. -conselation for the fact that his girlfriend is sleeping around, he says dance dance, forget about worries, these are the lives - is pural for spit to show more than one life with more than one man. *You always fold just before you're found out. Drink up it's last call, last resort, but only the first mistake. - lol , this is saying she always try to cover before she is found out but drin up - enjoy, its last call- its the end and but only first mistake means - only the first time she has really been caught in the act. *Why don't you show me the little bit of spine, You've been saving for his mattress, love. -lol, this means that all the sex time , she has been saving for the other guy, give it to me and just may be! mikhail_stewart@hotmail.com
