This song was written by Pete Wentz about a friend named Christopher Gutierrez. Chris was in a band with Pete, Joe, and Andy called Arma Angelus before Pete decided to make Fall Out Boy. Obviously the song is dedicated to and about Chris. He adopted the nickname "HeyChris" after the song came out. Many people for some reason assume that Chris is dead. He's not. He is a writer who lives in Chicago. He is internet famous for his livejournal, www.askheychris.livejournal.com. The lyrics that begin the song are very appropriate if you know Chris. He lives with a "living like lifes going out of style" attitude.

Actually, this song is about a friend of their who in the beginning, was the only one who believed that they'd make it big and he supported them and came to their shows like they already were rockstars.
Duh.
