"We Take sour sips from life's lush lips And we shake, shake, shake the hips in relationships" Means that they enjoy their lives "Stomp out this disaster town You put your eyes to the sun and say 'I know you're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding' And we might have started singing just a little soon We're throwing stones at a glass room" Means that they might have conveyed their message too soon for some people, and that they try to expose lies. "Woah, We're so miserable and stunning Woah, Love songs from the genuinely cunning" Means that Pete Wentz is an egomaniac. And its 3 a.m. and I don't feel like writing anymore.

he is saying that whatever he's doing, it's bound not to work out. It's like a plan waiting to fail.

And we shake, shake, shake the hips In relationships [they live life to the fullest. pretty self explanatory] Stomp out this disaster town You'll put your eyes to the sun and say, "I know you're only blinding to keep back What the clouds are hiding." [this could be either that their fame is distracting fans from other issues or something like that, or about people acting fake] And we might've started singing just a little soon We're throwing stones in at a glass moon. [they got famous really quick, and now that they are where they are, they can take risks(throwing stones at a glass moon)] Slept through the weekend and dreamed Of sinking with the melody of the cliffs of eternity Got postcards from my former self saying: "How've you been?" [ saying that the person he used to be would hate the person he has become]

When they say "You'll out your eyes to the sun and say I know your only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding" they are saying that they (meaning either Pete since he writes the songs, or Fall Out Boy) are using their music as a distraction because they are hiding something. "We keep the beat with our blistered feet" means that they keep on telling their lies even if it hurts. I agree with whoever said "We bullet the words at the mockingbirds singing" means their lies hurt the innocent or get people involved that didn't have to be. Oh and last obviously it should be "robbing banks and kissing lips" not "robbing lips and kissing banks". Petey loves to mess with out heads :-) Well that's all I am capable or figuring out at five in the morning. 'Night. -A

(We're living life, but we aren't enjoying it) Stomp out this disaster town (They are getting tired of this world) You'll put your eyes to the sun and say, "I know you're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding." (Life seems to be concealing its purpose) And we might've started singing just a little soon We're throwing stones in a glass room (They should be pointing this all out, because they make a living by having all these fans who look to them for meaning) Whoa oh, we're so miserable and stunning (They look good, but they aren't happy) Got postcards from my former selves saying: "How've you been?" (They've changed since they became famous) We might've said goodbyes just a little soon Robbing lips, kissing banks under this moon (They are using girl and obsessing over money)

i think it's about how emos make things bad and look worse We take sour sips from life's lush lips -it feels bad but we do it And we shake shake shake the hips In relationships -We do everything for love Stomp out this disaster town -dont do it You'll put your eyes to the sun and say "I know." -finaly feel good You're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding -its there even if you don't see it And we might have started singing just a little soon -dont know that line We're throwing stones at a glass moon -We break the things we need We're so miserable and stunning -were so bad songs for the genuinely cunning -dont know We keep the beat, With your blistered feet, -We hide the pain behind musik We bullet the words at the mockingbirds, singing -We hate the nice sounds like a bird singing Slept through the weekend -just trying to get it other with And dreaming , of sinking with the melody of the cliffs of eternity -we wanna die so they don't forget us Got postcards from my former selves saying; "How've you been?" -were all alone We might have said goobye just a little soon -were already dead (stomp out this disaster town) whoa whoa whoa! -just go out of all this Robbing lips, kissing banks under this moon -No idea (oh-wooh-oh)We're so miserable and stunning -were so bad (oh-wooh-oh)songs for the genuinely cunning -dont know (oh-wooh-oh)We're so miserable and stunning -were so bad (oh-wooh-oh)far from the genuinely cunning -dont know It was ice cream headaches and sweet avalanche -the feeling that's so soft but cold and hurts When the pearls in our shells came out to dance -when our inside broke out You call me a bad tipper of the cradle -no idea But I’m tired yawns for fawns on hunter’s lawns We’re the has-beens of husbands -nope Sharpening the knives of young wives -makeing them agressiv Take two years and call me when you're better -take you're time I'm here Take tears of mine, find yourself wetter -its not you that had the bad live We're so miserable and stunning love songs for the genuinely cunning We're so miserable and stunning love songs for the genuinely cunning -already had that thats just guesing but it does make since to me that its kind of about emos im not sure but I know this are deeper lines as stupid as they may sound
November 23rd, 2008 06:36AM
the lines arent to anbigious (is that the right word?) you could interpret them as i could interpret the whole song as onece how we make live look bad then that we all should kill ourselves how stupid we are That love makes ous blind i mean first line we take sour sips from live slush lip It could mean we pick the bad ones we do it even if it hurts even how god it seems in the end its bad (sour then take my tears and you will feel yourself wetter I feel worse than you We all feel bad Its just water start to see tha pain of other i think they meant to make so nobody can really tell the meaning but don't just say they don't make any sense

"We take sour sips from life's lush lips" is we tend to make life seem worse than it is. "And we shake shake shake the hips in relationships" is we make relationships sucky all on our own. "Stomp out this disaster town" is that we really should stop doing the things that make everything crappy. "You'll put your eyes to the sun and say, 'I know you're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding.'" is trying to cover up something that you don't want to be known, maybe for someone else. "And we might have started singing just a little soon," is that maybe they (generally, not just FOB) tried to grow up too fast or started doing something that they should have waited on. "We're throwing stones at a glass moon/room," should speak for itself, but if not, it means they're being hipocrits (sp?). "Whoa oh, we're so miserable and stunning," is being sad for the sake of looking good. "Whoa oh, love songs for the genuinely cunning, whoa-oh," is love songs for the sluts and manwhores. "We keep the beat with your blistered feet," is using someone "And we bullet the words at the mockingbirds singing," is how using that someone will destroy their innocence. "Slept through the weekend and dreaming," is taking the easy way out, or maybe waisting your life away. "Of sinking with the melody off the cliffs of eternity," having good dreams of something sweet, and turning them into a nightmare. "Got postcards from my former selves saying: 'How've you been?'" changing a lot, and maybe NOT for the better. "We might've said goodbyes just a little soon (Stomp out this disaster town)," departing before you were really ready. And wanting it back, maybe? "Robbing lips, kissing banks under this moon," using girls and loving money in a very obvious way. "Whoa oh, we're so miserable and stunning Whoa oh, love songs for the genuinely cunning Whoa oh, we're so miserable and stunning Whoa oh, love songs for the genuinely cunning, ohh…" is (as I've said before) being sad for the sake of looking good, and being a slut or man-whore. "It was ice cream headaches and sweet avalanches," is bad things coming from things that seemed sweet at first, and good things coming from things we didn't expect. "When the pearls in our shells got up to dance," the thing that made us beautiful left us (maybe for something better?). "You call me a bad tipper off the cradle," is saying that you're bad at something without actually knowning. "Tired yawns for fawns on hunter's lawns," wanting more than what you have. "We're the has-beens of husbands," is that husbands aren't like they used to be. "Sharpening the knives of young wives," is that wives are becoming more independent. "Take two years and call me when you're better," call me when you aren't shallow...or maybe that it takes a while for fads to get out of style, in this case, being sad. "Take teardrops of mine, find yourself wetter," for this fad to work out, you tend to make yourself believe that you're life is worse. Or maybe you complain more, or are weaker. "Whoa oh, we're so miserable and stunning Whoa oh, love songs for the genuinely cunning Whoa oh, we're so miserable and stunning Whoa oh, love songs for the genuinely cunning," is being sad for the sake of looking good and love songs for the sluts and man-whores. 1 2 Next Page >
