They were dating but they're just friends not. Yeah he said he's single but why does it matter?

This was meant to be an interpretation of the song but it turned out to be a short discussion on whether Pete is single or not!! typical!

The part towards the end where they start shouting is really weird, but I love it. And the lines where they say they're so miserable and cunning and stunning or whatever. Also, the part about throwing stones at a glass moon. They are all so beatiful.

The part at the end when pete speaks his mind he is saying :It was ice cream headaches and sweet avalanche When the pearls in our shells got up to dance You call me a bad tipper of the cradle But I'm just tired yawns for fawns on hunter's lawns We're the has-beens of husbands Sharpening the knives of young wives Take two years and call me when you're better Take tears of mine, find yourself wetter... and what that's is supposed to mean is :yea I'm no good atleast I addmit it, and no matter how bad I am you will always be worse

I guess I should submit a real interpretation, so here it is: I think this song talks about lies. To me "we're throwing stones at a glass moon" says they are trying to stop the lies. And "we bullet the words at the mockingbird's singing" says the lies are destroying the innocent

I do think that this song is about lies, but I don't think that "We bullet the words at the mockingbirds, singing" has to with lies destroying the innocent. That doesn't make sense, since "We" refers to Fall Out Boy. It means that Fall Out Boy exposes the lies that naive people are easily convinced into believing. And this song doesn't have anything to do with Pete's girlfriend, by the way. It is more about the band, as a whole, and the message they try to convey through their music. "We Take sour sips from life's lush lips And we shake, shake, shake the hips in relationships" Means that they enjoy their lives "Stomp out this disaster town You put your eyes to the sun and say 'I know you're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding' And we might have started singing just a little soon We're throwing stones at a glass room" Means that they might have conveyed their message too soon for some people, and that they try to expose lies. "Woah, We're so miserable and stunning Woah, Love songs from the genuinely cunning" Means that Pete Wentz is an egomaniac. And its 3 a.m. and I don't feel like writing anymore.

Duuude, I love this song, but y'all shouldn't take up space conversing... just sayin'. >.>;; Anyway, I guess to me it's like they're tired of rumors and lies and want people to realize things... I dunno. I'm not good at this stuff. xD

This song is about how they think life sucks because when ever there is love they find love hurts like in the disturbing music video and by the way pete's dateing ashlee simpson!!

It's "woah it's a MISERABLE STORY woah FAR FROM THE GENUINE BECOMING" damn those wrong fob lyrics..

First off, enough with the Pete wentz dating thing. It's his buisness and this forum is not exactly "ilovepetewentz4evr.com" okay?We have priorities, like informing those who seek Lyric Interpretations... Anyway, the song has many motifs and contrasting images of things that are "lovely" and things that are not. The song also describes how desensitized people are by throwing in, "yawning at [dead] fawns on lawns". But all this comes down to a song that's mostly about Love and how hard relationships are. If you look at the lyrics it makes sense. at least, that's one way to look at it, but then again, there is no wrong or right interpretation is there?I agree with the "Anonymous"(that actally wrote something related to the song) and his/her interpretation as well.So yeah, that's my 2 cents. Keep giving this song more...

Actually in the beginning when he sings "we're throwing stones in a glass room," he is saying that whatever he's doing, it's bound not to work out. It's like a plan waiting to fail.

We take sour sips from life's lush lips And we shake, shake, shake the hips In relationships [they live life to the fullest. pretty self explanatory] Stomp out this disaster town You'll put your eyes to the sun and say, "I know you're only blinding to keep back What the clouds are hiding." [this could be either that their fame is distracting fans from other issues or something like that, or about people acting fake] And we might've started singing just a little soon We're throwing stones in at a glass moon. [they got famous really quick, and now that they are where they are, they can take risks(throwing stones at a glass moon)] Slept through the weekend and dreamed Of sinking with the melody of the cliffs of eternity Got postcards from my former self saying: "How've you been?" [ saying that the person he used to be would hate the person he has become]

For those of you who didn't know the carpal tunnel is actually the larger veins in your wrists.

What I got from this is yes, it is a song about lies and how love sucks basically. When they say "You'll out your eyes to the sun and say I know your only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding" they are saying that they (meaning either Pete since he writes the songs, or Fall Out Boy) are using their music as a distraction because they are hiding something. "We keep the beat with our blistered feet" means that they keep on telling their lies even if it hurts. I agree with whoever said "We bullet the words at the mockingbirds singing" means their lies hurt the innocent or get people involved that didn't have to be. Oh and last obviously it should be "robbing banks and kissing lips" not "robbing lips and kissing banks". Petey loves to mess with out heads :-) Well that's all I am capable or figuring out at five in the morning. 'Night. -A

It's "throwing stones in a glass room". Not "throwing stones at a glass moon". Listen to it, you can hear what I mean.

We take sour sips from life's lush lips (We're living life, but we aren't enjoying it) Stomp out this disaster town (They are getting tired of this world) You'll put your eyes to the sun and say, "I know you're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding." (Life seems to be concealing its purpose) And we might've started singing just a little soon We're throwing stones in a glass room (They should be pointing this all out, because they make a living by having all these fans who look to them for meaning) Whoa oh, we're so miserable and stunning (They look good, but they aren't happy) Got postcards from my former selves saying: "How've you been?" (They've changed since they became famous) We might've said goodbyes just a little soon Robbing lips, kissing banks under this moon (They are using girl and obsessing over money)

November 23rd, 2008 06:36AM
Forget what I said the lines arent to anbigious (is that the right word?) you could interpret them as i could interpret the whole song as onece how we make live look bad then that we all should kill ourselves how stupid we are That love makes ous blind i mean first line we take sour sips from live slush lip It could mean we pick the bad ones we do it even if it hurts even how god it seems in the end its bad (sour then take my tears and you will feel yourself wetter I feel worse than you We all feel bad Its just water start to see tha pain of other i think they meant to make so nobody can really tell the meaning but don't just say they don't make any sense

Just on the title, the carpel tunnel is a part of the arm that connects the palm of the hand and the arm. It is associated with Carpel Tunnel Syndrone which is when you overuse the carpel tunnel from repeating an action a number of times, such as typing, using a mouse or writing. 1 2 Next Page >
