This song is about missing someone and loving them, but questioning whether they love you back as much as you love them. (Hence the line "Do you notice I'm gone? / Where do you run to so far away?")

I think this song is about how the guy love this girl but not so sure if she feels the same for him now these days and just wants her to know how much he misses how they used to be

I'm not sure what it is supposed to mean, but what I get out of it is about suicide. "Can't you see that I wanna be there with open arms? It's empty tonight And I'm all alone. Get me through this one" I want to be around everybody, but nobody is there for me. "I'm writing again these letters to you on how much I know." Writing suicide letters on what I think about life. "Do you notice I'm gone?" Does anybody notice that I'm not here. I'm locked up in my own world and nobody seems to notice that my mind just isn't there in the present? Thats just what I get out of it, and I'm pretty sure that its not really what the song is about, but its a cool way to look at it.
