This song is about a guy, who was involved with a girl, but she broke up with him for another guy. Now he has lost his feelings for her, so he calls her to tell her he's over her. But it makes me wonder, who calls a person they don't care about to tell them that they are over them?

To the person above. Sometimes when you break up with someone you still like them and the only way it sinks in that you two are over is telling them. It kinda finalises it. If you understand.
