Um I would agree that it is about the bad influences on kids these days... But also I belive the children in africa idea is a possibility, such as the invisable children of uganda, africa where the children are being stolen an forced to fight and such... Although uganda is a beautiful country in which I visited for 3 weeks.

I find this song awesome and I am not ashamed to admit I know nearly all the lyrics even though I just discovered it yesterday on 'Supernatural'

Anyway the song is about when you are dreaming but inside your dream you know it is a dream and are able to control it. I have those sort of dreams and it is absolutely love it. You can do anything.

It's not about any of that. In the Gorillaz interview, "We are the Dury," Noodle says that the song is about how kids are being taught that compassion is a weakness and desensitized by violent images seen in the media.

these are good interpretations but I personally think gorillaz is more deep than that
I think they're talking about government
like everyone in the white house is just a kid with a gun
they have a lot of power but don't know what to do with it

This song is about the negative influences that kids are given today. Not only that but children soldiers.
