This song is about lead singer Billie Joe sleeping on friend's couches, masturbating, and being bored.

I heard this song is about masturbation in general. The chorus makes this somewhat apparent. "Bite my lip and close my eyes, take me away to paradise." Sounds like he's describing an orgasm.

The song was "written" by Billie Joe when he was extremely bored (and smoking pot). The lyrics reflect his mood at the time. They describe someone that is extremely bored, disinterested in the world, and lacks the ambition to do anything besides smoke (pot) and masturbate and even those arn't even that great anymore.

"It's about boredom, masturbation and smoking dope." - Billie Joe Armstrong

The song is about feeling bored, lazy and apathetic. So bored that one resorts to masturbating to pass the time.

The song is about Meth. Why do you think they called the record dookie. Dookie is a street name for meth. They were all strung out when they wrote the album

Dookie is also a German cuss word, or so I've heard.
