It's about not wanting the person you love to ever leave:

Well, Jack and his girlfriend have been really busy and he misses her so he convinces her to stay home and not answer the phone and he will make her banana pancakes like he would do on the weekend to make the day feel like it really is a weekend so she will relax

This is a song he wrote for his wife off the top of his head to keep her from going to work. It wasn't meeant to be an actual song on IBD, but the producers liked it.

That having to leave the person you can't live w/o for work every morning is part of the world, like rain, but what life should be is as easy as staying in and making banana pancakes-> "This song is ment 2 keep ya from doin what cha suposta" ..
AND- Laka is a hawaiian goddess that , I think, takes in the sun and spreads it in nature or something like that
