I think this song is about how she's been lying her entire life, and she's gotten used to it. But when she tries to tell the truth, she realizes that if she does, everything she lied about would unwind, and fall apart, and everyone would find out that she was just a huge liar. She doens't want this to happen so she lies again and so on. Hence the line

"so tell me tell me will I die if I forget how to lie?" that's my interpretation anyway.
