on the playground at school

i think this song is about child abuse. And his daughter told him about her friend. He thinks about what his daughter told him and he couldn't sleep. he thought about it all night and then when he fell asleep he dreamed about his daughters friend Alyssa and then he went to school the next day and he told the principle about it. But then the principle told him that Alyssa died from the abuse of her father and her dad told her that if she told anybody about it that he was going to kill her. She told Jason Micheal Carroll's daughter and Alyssa's dad found out and he killed her and there was nothing that they could do about it after that. The police found Alyssa's dad and took him to court and the judge put him on a death sentence.

mainly about a little girl's friend getting abused and no one doing anything about it the little girls father knew what to do but it was too late.
Alyssa Lies is a song about child abuse, and most importantly what happens when you ignore it. I can personally relate to this song very well.
When I was younger my two best friends were constantly abused by their father and grandfather and I was sworn to secrecy so I never told anyone. If I had they would still be here today. Corey killed himself a week after he turned 9 and Lucy was thrown down the stairs by their father just before her 7th birthday.
The song is told from the point of view of a father with a young daughter who meets a new friend at school one day. The daughter doesn't understand why her friend Alyssa lies about all the bruises so she goes home and asks her father about it. He is just shocked and doesn't know what to do.
"He just brushed it off at first"
After he puts his daughter to bed he hears her pray for Alyssa.
"God bless my mom and my dad,
and my new friend Alyssa
Lord I know she needs you bad"
He can't sleep as he tries to think of a a way to calm her fears. Finally he decides to go to the school on Monday and tell them about what was going on but when he gets there with his little girl...
"My little girl asked me why everybody looked so sad. The lump in my throat grew bigger with every question that she asked, until I felt the tears run down my face, as I told her that Alyssa wouldn't be in school today
"Cuz she doesn't lie, in the classroom.
She doesn't lie, anymore at school.
Alyssa lies with Jesus cuz there was nothing anyone would do"

alyssa lies is about a little girl who just meet a new friend and she lies to everyone about the truth about what is going on with her she wants her dad to do somthing about it but brushes it off at first and does not think twice about it. when she laid her head down that night to go to sleep she prayed for her mom and dad and she even prayed for alyssa knowing that she needed help. he finally relised that she needed help but it was to late and he did not know how to break it to her. she kept asking and asking what happened and he did not know what to do. i feel so bad for the ones out there who have been abused and still are being abuse it is not right.
