Josh Groban: You Raise Me Up Meaning
You Raise Me Up Lyrics
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;

well this is actually a hymn, which says that the singer is weary in his/her life and is down in life and is also going through a lot of troubles in life. And then he speaks to God and asks God to come and help him and that he would not even move until God himself comes and give him some comfort "and i am still and wait here in the silence, until you come and sit a while with me"
in the second verse he speaks about how much God means to him in life and that when God comes around and give him comfort he sees a gimps of heaven in it.
