Its not about his friend who's an addict. Dude its about smoking weed and how times can be stressful, but once kudi burns, his mind is free and his problems are gone for the time being. Just listen to the lyrics. "The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night"

btw the reference "kudi" is what is derived when you combine "kid and cudi" but are too lazy to type both. its a east coast thing
