It's about depression and feeling isolated...I also think Jon is alluding to self-injury when he says "I flirt with suicide, sometimes that's ok".

This song is about violence, abuse, mistreatment. Physical and emotional.

The first verse is how the victim feels. Suicidal and isolated, feeling alone and withdrawn from others.

The second verse is their view of their life and what their future holds. There is the sense that they are ability to cope and will to live is diminishing. They are losing who they 'are' and their ability to dream for something better. They may say things will change, but know inside it will always remain the same.

The chorus is the loss of the spirit and being driven towards death, physically and spiritually because of the abuse. The loss of ones essences against their will.

The climax of this song seems to be pictured as if one is falling down a hole and desperately trying to hold on to what makes them who they are.

This song is about a person being abused to the point that they become hollow shell of themself.

Lord help you if you interperate a song by it's video. You are what is wrong with music today.

"If it was in the video doesn't mean it's about a girl. I mean what girl could be about? It's supposed be about the bands experiences. you are not a real KoRn fan!"

this person is right. The music video can help you interpret the song, but not always. and the whole 'you are not a real korn fan' is stupid. ok, he/she gotone thing wrong, so they're not a korn fan.

i was kind of thinking of abuse myself, but hey,

It's just about losing control of your own life and not knowing what to do or how to react. So you just want to get away.

This songs about loneliness or depression in general, to the point where you're beating upon yourself (cutting, ect.)
P.S. The music video scared the shit out of me, don't watch it at night

"The song is about domestic abuse and that there are ways to get help whether it's telling someone or calling a help line, there are ways to get out of those situations. No one has to be treated like that." – Jonathan Davis

He tells it as it is.

It's about child abuse and domestic abuse. The video and the lyrics are saying the same things. The video shows the mad abusing the girl and his wife and all the other children come to "Help" her excape. The lyrics are showing what the person feels in an abusive situation. It is abuse across the board whether about domestic, child, or sexual, or just plain emotional and verbal.
