He unlike many singers and actors is admitting that he has too much. He knows that he has things that he doesn't need and therefore no longer wants.this is shown in the video clip when he drives a ferrari of a bridge and it blows up. That his way of saying money isn't his motivation. The music is what drives him. I think we need to respect the fact that he has the balls to say that.

He does not want things that are just given to him.Because even if it is a present anything given ALWAYS expects something in return.For example its an unsaid opinion that if you accept a present for your birthday you need to give a present to the person who gave it one to you for yours. thats just making things basic.Anyway , the point is that for everything he got he needs to give something back.Even if he got something he did not want he might have to give something he really needs for that.In other words he got something he did not want but cannot return. and now he has to follow up on that even though he does not want to.But others force him. Thats just my opinion. I do not think this song is religious,in my opinion god`s actions present something he cannot control,not intended to be supernatural or omnipotent or nothing like that...
