Wow, that's wrong.
The song is about the close family friend of JD's mother who lived in the neighbourhood and allegedly molested JD as a child. It's pretty obvious, especially the 'child fucker' lyric repeated in the second verse.

I agree with slipknot_feined. JD hated Mr. Rogers so much for making him think that if you be nice to everyone that you will be treated the same way.

alright look I wrote an interpretation for daddy as well the two songs sort of link togather. In daddy he's talking about how he was raped by some creepy old man and when he told his parents they didn't believe him (see my interpretation on daddy for datails) and this song is about the creepy neighbor who raped him hence the name Mr. Rodgers because he always says "hello neighbor" and he's old
and frankly kinda creepy. (and where the fuck in the lyrics does it say anything about him hating mr rogers and taping it and watching it and hating him more????????????????????????????????????????????)

Idiot. Mr.Rogers from TV is who Jon refers to. "Hello Neighbor" is Mr.Rogers favorite saying. I also looked it up on the internet. Why don't you idiots learn to use the computer. Now the song verses seem as if he would be raped but no.

Spen is that u? I always thought it alluded to child molestation, not a specific case, but like I think it could be targeting all the sick fucks in general, and using Mr. Rogers as an example, because I remember hearing something creepy about him at one time.

"Back in the day when I was a speed freak, um... even further back when I was a little kid watchin' Mr. Rogers, that shit was scary. He was a freaky old man... Land of Make-believe and Mr. Fuckin Mc Feely and shit... made me sick. So back when I was doing speed, like for 5 or 6 days I'd be trippin out and my brain would start to get freaky and get schizophrenic and stuff, and I'd tape it and watch it everyday over and over... I don't know, I was sick in the head. As a kid he told me to be polite and all it did was get me picked on. I fucking hate that man. Thanks for making me polite and trusting everyone, and easy to take advantage of. So I spent 3 months on that one song, just tweakin' on it, and it was totally just my Mr. Rogers obsession, about how evil I thought he was. Pretty much drug induced." - jon

It's about how Jonathan as a kid, lived by the morals taught by Mr. Rogers, and he got bullied in school, and taken advantage of by other people because of it. It was because he acted caring and nice towards others, and people just hurt him and made fun of him. He's not bashing or directly attacking Mr. Rogers, he's just singing about something that really happened to him, like in basically all of Korn's lyrics. It's not a song meant to attack someone, it's just about a personal experience.
