This is an easy one. It doesn't matter if you're straight, gay, bi, or trassexual, you just have to love yourself for who you are. And the most important thing is that God will love you for who you are. You just have to believe in what you believe in. For example, if you are gay and someone you know doesn't believe in gay rights, you just have to know what you believe in, not what some else tells you to believe in.

I think that the song's about accepting yourself and being who you are, no matter what problems others may have with you, because "God makes no mistakes" and therefore you should accept yourself and others as you/they are.

This whole thing about gays going to hell doesn't really have anything to do with the song but ohs wells.
I'm not religious, never have been never will be (I choose to believe in reincarnation and karma over god heaven and hell but I'm not a Buddhist) but even if god DID exist I honestly do thing he can send people to hell for being gay when they have no choice in the matter. -

It doesn't matter if you love him or capital Him. Capital Him is God. To us christians that is how you spell it to seperate it from other gods. And yes technically you are born gay because God knows what you are going to be and he knows what will happen in your life. So get over it and if being gay was a sin why would God even make it??? God wants all the people he can get to go to heaven. And I love how she points out every like issue. Gay trans and all that. I gotta hand it to you Gaga those are some powerful lyrics!

Gaga said so in an interview. Its about acepting your self for who you are, wheather your poor or rich, your race, if your gay, maybe even if you stupid or a brainiac, have a disabilty like dislexia or DS or diabities, or just lack self confidence cos people say your fat or ugly, as long as you think your beautiful other people will start to see it to.
This song realy sppeaks to me cos i have dislexia and ADHD and people juste to make fun of me for it.

okay . I had to come here because I am seeing post on my facebook about the meaning of Born This Way Lyrics and of course it is pointing out that Lady Gaga is a believer of Lucifer and the Devil.

What I think the meaning of the Lyrics:
Just as obvious as the words that are said is that a person must first learn to love themselves. And accept who they are when they are able to know and make decisions about who they are in life.
My Christian view on the Lyrics and Lady Gaga: I have to confess I do not know Lady Gaga personally so I can not make judgements on her based on what I know. I don't think her lyrics are clear on who she mentions as Capital H-I-M, but I know in the Bible when there is a Capital H-I-M it mentions God or Jesus Christ, so it could be that Gaga is also referring to the same thing because she mentions God doesn't make mistakes on the lyrics as well, and the Bible supports that.
Bottom Line for me is Jesus own words of God's greatest commandment is put into this "Love God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind. The 2nd is equally important Love your neighbor as yourself."
In this case if a person does not know how to love himself how can he know how to love others. But we all know how to love our self that's why we should love others in that same way.
And God do I love myself.

Okay, in this song . . Lady Gaga is talking about being proud of who you are. She's telling you not to change yourself because someone else doesn't like you appearance. What only matters is what you think of yourself. She's talking about being proud of where you come from and how you look. No-one else's opinions matters because, they can't judge you because you are who you are. Only GOD can judge you. But, not even because God doesn't judge people by their appearances, only by their character and attitude. You can be Gay, Bisexual, Straight, Transexual or whatever, you need to be proud of what YOU are. You are YOU - Thats NEVER Going to change. You don't need to change yourself because one person doesn't like you- YOU are YOU , who cares about everybody else? You are BEAUTIFUL - in your OWN way. If you are proud the way you are, then everybody will grow to be proud of you and think your beautiful TOO.

Now, alot of the comments i see are saying, "weather your gay, bisexual, lesbian, or straight, God lves you for who you are" but in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 states "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (NIV). This states, that if you are a homosexual, "you will not inherit the kingdom of God" meaning, that it dosent take you to heaven being gay. I would say this song is sreligiously incorrect.

Performer Gaga is already controversial at home. Now, apparently, she is thought to be offensive overseas as well. Her brand-new record "Born This Way," which is already platinum, has been banned in Lebanon. Yes I believe the first "him" is refering to what western culture refers to as "God" and the H.I.M in my opinion refers to Satan aka His Infernal Majesty. Cause I believe she is trying to include everyone in the spectrum of those who deserve respect.

According to what I think The song is what Lady Gaga said that she was bullied extremly harshly in her high school.She said that she was so very frightened that used to wore I mask in school.She even said that she still wears a mask but not in embaressment or humiliation but in pride.

love and accept who u r no matter what u believe in ...him spelled either way is your interpretation your beliefs no matter what your belief follows it is who you are you are born this way ....even the lyrics can be interpreted differently and will be there is no right or wrong she is saying be yourself no matter what your disability we all are created differently and she is even acknowledging that she is too different if you read the lyrics
