   The song is about Lady Starlight.
   
   When Lady Gaga plays as Lady Starlight on stage, she wears a lavender wig.
   
   'I love that lavender/blonde'. Lady Gaga is blonde but she has a lavender wig!
   
   She is saying that she loves her self, hence the line 'I touch myself all through the night'.
   
   She is talking about how much she loves Lady Starlight and how she longs to be brave and NOT afraid of addiction, just like Starlight.
   
   It's about fear of addiction and sex.

   I know she says it's about her fear of addiction to alcohol and drugs. Maybe it's also a fear of depending on pleasures (sexx, masturbation, drugs, alcohol) to be happy. *touch myself all through the night*, i think she's also just sort of saying "it's okay to be dark" in a way, you don't always have to be "normal" and "healthy".    one of my favorite songs ever... i love this song so much... lady gaga is beyond amazing...
   
   i think this songs about a few things: masturbation and the pleasure with one's self ... drinking and feeling happy... and her lesbian feelings which i read that she had 4 one of her best friends...
   
   if i had 2 pick one of those i would combine 1 & 3... she has a crush on that girl... but she does not need her around 2 feel happy about it... it is about masturbation in a boarder way... loving oneself and being fascinated with urself and finding happiness n joy (even sexual joy) in that!
