Very easy song to interpret. He is clearly talking to Bush, and possible other world leaders about everything they have done wrong. The lies, deceit, etc.

Of course it's about thieves and hypocrites. But which ones??? it is deeper than just him screaming at all thieves and hypocrites. It could be taken as him speaking just to Bush. AKA he is talking about how he believed in him at first: "I had hope, I believed..." then how as the war has dragged on how he has lost his faith in him: "...but I'm begining to think that I've been deceived." also you can see with the verses:

"your crusades a disguise,
replace freedom with fear you trade money for lives."

As in how he believes that the war isn't just about freeing oppressed people (the disguise)but about making money (the oil from Iraq). As a resule American soldiers have died.

Or maybe it is just about them being pissed at their record company (though I doubt their label has killed people in the process of making money lol)

No, MRO and the red spade definitely got it rite. It's about bush because if you look in the lyrics booklet, the original lyrics in the first verse verse are "are you lost in your lies, do you tell yourself 'i don't realize my campaign's a disguise.'" And in the second verse it says "you trade freedom for fear / replace money for lives" which is obviously talking about the war in Iraq and soldiers losing their lives.
