All of you are wrong. This song is about humanity's neglect of the society and environment that we're responsible for. We are all so caught up in power, money, and pride, that we forget about all the atrocities that occur every day. This song calls for everyone to change their ways and make things right in the world. Our world, socially and environmentally, is falling apart because of one thing - us.

If you base your interpretation on the video then it can be taken as being about what mankind has done to the world, the enviornment, and our own humanity, and the guilt and shame that stems from that. I also think it has a more universal meaning though...it can easily be about someone who has hurt the person they care about most and has been blaming/hating themself over it, then finally comes to terms, accepts their own mistakes for what they are, and is ready now to move on. And yeah the album isn't out yet but that doesn't mean the song hasn't been released.

God, all you girls are so fucked up. Their song is meant to be interpreted the way you want them to be! Yes, all their songs have special meanings to the band members themselves. However, YOU can interpret it in any way that YOU want to. Every single song that Linkin Park has created touches someone in a completely different way. Every one has a different meaning for different people. Stop being morons to each other because as far as I'm concerned, you're all correct. Get it? Got it? Good.

The song is simply about recognizing your faults of the past and moving on to the future.

I think this song is this Linkin Park is singing this song representing the whole world and what we have done wrong to make it the way it is. If you have ever seen the music video, they show all of the bad things and the wrongs people are doing.

My personal opinion of this song is that it's about a boy who was in love with a girl. He made some mistakes and she started to reject him. He is pleading for her to forgive him and come back. He's forgiven himself for his past wrongs and wants her to forgive him as well. I may be totally off the mark here, but that's how I first interpretated it, so I'm putting it out there.
