aAsong about a waitress in a port bar who serves beer for the sailors--and how they all say what a great wife she would be, and how a traveling sailor drops by every now and then from far away. Now, here's the thing, she loves him and vise-versa; but his "life, his lover, and his lady" is the sea

A pretty straightforward song, and a particular favorite of mine. It's about a waitress at a bar who's in love with a sailor, who loves her back but can't really leave the sea.
