Well, I hear the text as;
saints, protect her now
come angels of the lord
come angels of unknown.
This means that he either sees the unknown as his lord, or that he is kind of both cursing and protecting her.

a beautiful track, really

Saints protect her now Come Angels of the lord Come Angels of the unknown - The album "Three Cheers for sweet revenge" is about the death of two people in love. The man says "saints protect her now" showing that she is going to heaven. "Come angels of the lord" he is telling the angels to come and take her to heaven. "come angels of the unknown", this could mean one of three things. 1.) 'Angels of the unknown' The angels of somewhere not known are going to take him with them to somewhere that is not in heaven and not in hell. 2.) 'Angels of the unknown' The angels from Hell are going to take him to the devil, he just does not know where Hell actually is. 3.) 'Angels of the unknown' He could be refering to the "angels of the lord", questioning whether or not there really is a God.
