This song is written from the first person, in the view of a teenager/young male adult. The songs mainly refers to having fun and being somewhat rebellious. The song's verses refer to the main character and his girlfriend riding in a car, when the song moves to the chorus the song becomes more heavy as the guitar joins in and the lyrics start refering to the 2 characters sticking up for their right to do what they want, in this case it is refering to sexual intercourse.

I love this song, disgusting or not. I agree with the first submission... Just teenagers being rebellious, doing naughty things in the car. <3

Uhh, this song really does not need interpretation. It's about the stereotypical teenage 'badass dude' taking his girlfriend out for a bit of "fun." everything seems to be going good for him as they participate in their little mating ritual, but then he has the misfortune of her father showing up where they've decided to park their car, and to make matters worse, he cannot locate the ignition key to avoid what he deserves.

I absolutely thrive on this song. It's about, of course, two teenage lovers doing what teens do best--get in trouble, be rebellious, and experiment with each other's hormones. There is nothing disgusting with this song!! (To those of you who think so, you have a right to your opinion) No one can say that they don't want to hear the loud rumble of a hot rod beating against the gravel with your babe by your side, giving you those fiery eyes and dangerous smirk. IT's exciting!! You're only a teenager once! Obviously, Chad Kroeger knew that, and decided to touch up on the subject. I don't know about anyone else, but this song is fun and makes me wanna wave my hair in circles only to get whiplash the next morning.

Very cool song. It's all about sex, which is what rock n' roll is all about. Understand the origin of the term? "Rock" and "roll" is a literal description movements involved in the sex act. "Animals" is one of the few songs to take rock back to these roots--anyone who disagrees should stay away from rock. Like it or not, this is the real deal.

This song is about 2 teenagers doing what most of us did at some point in their teenage years. It's about young hormones, passion, and rebellion. Not all of our fathers caught us, but I think at least 70% of you can relate to the subject. And btw, I dont see anything disgusting with this song. Sex is something that just about everyone will do at least once in their lifetime and theres nothing dirty about it.

It's not about cheating! The "Angel" and "Devil" are the good thoughts and the bad thoughts.
He means they aren't going to be good tonight :)
Duh!
