im sorry if this is not 100% accurate about the person. However, I DID read that this song was in memory of either a record producer...or someone associated with the Nickelback crew...well...whoever it was...he got shot, and died :(. This song is dedicated to him (as you will find inside the album cover somewhere for those of you who have not downloaded it lol), and the chorus clearly explains, if there was no hate, and everyone got on, ignored the differences between each other and were civil, then we'd possibly see the day where nobody died.

the first verse I'm pretty certain ,i read ,was about the dead guy and his wife....damn if only I could remember where I read it and give you all the link :<

I think this song doesn't really talk about one specific incident, but in general how our society today is so cruel and uncaring, and the song talks about how if everyone cared our world would be a better place. I used to have a friend who I always think of when I hear this song. It makes me really sad. It was her favorite song, too. She always believed in trying to help the world and stand up for what's right. Last year she died. It was so sad. She was the best friend I've ever had. And she was the best person I've ever known. I think she might of been an angel. I'm just so happy to of met her.

I think it's about how if everyone cared(hense the title), the world wouldnt be the way it is today. If people really cared that people in other places like africa are starving, and pitch in and help, we could al prolly love. Instead, people are spendin money on private jets, and big houses, an its SOOOOOOO ANNOYING!! seein billionares who bought all these things an stilll have money in their pockets and safes. I hate it!

This song is so awesome. Sometimes I find myself humming it for no real reason. It's about one of the band members being deeply in love. Listen to the lyrics carefully and you'll hear the singer talking about love in the 2nd verse.

I think it means how are world is fucked up about we do all this shit we do and how we should at least try and get along that way are world will at least be a step closer to being a decent world.

i believe this song is about our ignorance as to how precious life really is. if you have seen the music video, you see that the characters have numbers over their head, and these numbers represent how long they have to live. we as humans have no real way to know how long we have to live, so we should be thankful for everything we have and everyday is a blessing.

i think this song is about all the wars and trageties(sorry if i spelled that last word, and many more, wrong)that lots of people died from. but that could have been easily been prevented. in the chorus he is saying if weall just not go around beeing full of our self then maybe we would have a day when there you be no fignting going on and we could just all be at peace. sorry if that doesnt make sence

I think this song is pretty much about how we(as in everyone around the world) not seeing what is most important in life from other peoples view but instead only find the stereotypes from the media and stuff. Another reason that I think is how people who are WILLING to take a stand and fight for the weak and changing the world to make it a better place.

This song reflects on how Nickelback felt when he found his true love. He finally noticed that there are people who hate, lie, and kill. People no longer feel remorse for their actions. We live in a world full of racism and hatred. People do suicide or kill others mostly because of this. When one have enemies, the most common thing to do are to kill, punch, or hurt them. People should start accepting others. Hate is will always exist and that’s why he used “if” a lot.

good song, deep lyrics. if you watch the video it gives tid bits and facts. its promoting peace and it make you think if everyone did care and was nice even, it would be alot easier, and life would have much more peace.
