   Personally, I think she is comparing her own feelings towards Marilyn's.
   Maybe the feelings get newfound fame has brought her? The pressure to be perfect, because you're always in the public eye and being judged. She talks about the major downs she sometimes feels, and feels there's no way she'll be ever to pick herself back up again; as well as major highs she feels, where everything is going good for her and she feels "on top of the world". She is expressing how she looks up to Marilyn and wants to learn from her, yet doesn't wanna lose herself like Marilyn had, who eventually committed suicide.    It seems like Niki Minaj is trying to say that Marylin Monroe fell apart, this is why she killed herself. She uses a few of Marylin many many quotes.    I think nicki was trying to make reference to marilyn monroe in the music that she dosn't want to end up like her. Marilyn monroe was killed by the illuminati when she deviated from them and was licking their secrets out.
