Aneurysm Lyrics
Overdo it and have a fit
Loving so much it makes me sick
come on over,undo the twist
Beat me outta me - Beat it! beat it! [x7]
Beat me outta me
Come on over and do the twist
Overdo it and have a fit
Loving...

Every one here says some thing but could this be a love song in a way? I'm in a relationship now and some times i feel like i might get sick when I think about my girlfriend. In a good way of course, but do the twist could be about sex and and over do it could be fucking hard. shoot the shit could be having an orgasm. Beat me outta me could mean you would rather you get beat down than her and she keeps it pumpin strait to my heart could be she pumps her love strait into her heart. ha I know I'm very wrong but y make Kurt seem like he is obsessed with heroin. There was much more to him than that and it would be nice to imagine different things than drugs!

Hm. nice interpretations. But If you look at the title, it says Aneurysm. So I guess the song is about an Aneurysm. With every heartbeat the aneurysma get's bigger till it explodes and all the blood comes out. Love you so much, it makes me sick is in the view of the aneurysma talking to the heart.

He was doing heroin before he even formed Nirvana, and you don't need to be addicted to write about it...sounds like it is about doing heroin...love you so much it makes me sick? Well...he did have a love/hate relationship with heroin...

i feel that this song and almost all his songs talk about one thing, through things he's experienced and his reactions to these experiences, when behind the words it's just him and his whole state of mind and being in certain moments. it's like automatic writing. and when he wrote a lot of his songs, he probabally wasnt aware of himself. like when you write a diary or have a dream and cant understand it, so you write it down and after a long period of time passes, and that situation is 'past' then you get it. you understand yourself better. and this is the way he wrote, he wrote words he thought and felt and the song became his essence and so much more than him. his music was bigger than him in a way, and it out grew him.

Just hear me out. Although the lyrics to this song say "beat me outa me" I swear when he sings it (not live)he says "beat beat outa me." yes, there are several times when he clearly does say "beat me outa me," but there are times he doesn't. it makes sense too. He suicided because he didn't feel the thrill of life and music anymore, feeling guilty for it. "beat beat outa me" would exhibit his agony and frustration of not enjoying music anymore, hoping for someone or something to help him enjoy music once more. I know that I may be looking at it too much, but I think its a cooler way of interpreting the song.
listen and tell if you agree. -

This song is only about drugs, love you so much it makes me sick, even someone on heroin knows drugs at the very least make you sick
overdo it and a fit is again the least of your worries -

Actually he developed an addiction around 90/91 worsening with success and pressure, but he had done heroin and percodan (a milder opiate similar to heroin) before, starting around 86, it seems he started drugs because of chronic stomach pain, only opiates eased his sufferings saying he would have "blown his head" without drugs (source : wikipedia)

This song is not actually about his experience with shooting heroin because he wrote this song in 1988-9 before he had a heroin habit but indeed it is about heroin and Toby Vail.

It is a known fact the song IS about Toby Vail, and Kurt said that the "love you so much it makes me sick" part is about how he was once on a date in high school and accidentally threw up on his date.

this song is about heroin obviously.
it is also about his relationship with toby or watev.
it is named after certain consequences that can occur when overdosing on heroin, a blood clot in the head/brain.
get it?

This song has multiple meanings the title refers to what killed someone in his family I'm pretty sure it was his Grandfather the line love you so much you make me sick refers to how Kurt once fell in love with this one girl he was so filled with love and worry or something that he vomited and yes about doing drugs and how it was wearing on his health.
