"His eyes I can see again, I need you here" lost someone you need and you are remembering them. "Time after time, I walk the fine line Something keeps bringing me back Time after time, I'm going in blind I don't know which way I need to go" you keeping going one way but you can't let them go and your lost without them "Feels like your world is caving in And I cry, failing to understand, I wish I can It's alright if you're missing him In his eyes you can live again, free within" you feel like nothing with out them and all you think about is them "Time after time, I walk the fine line Something keeps bringing me back Time after time, I can't see the signs I don't know which way I need to go Do all these roads lead back to you? I don't know which way I need to go" You're still going the same way and you can't find your way back to them "One day, some day..." You may be back with them again some day

"This life's not like you wanted it." How many people right now are living the exact life that they envisioned themselves living when they were just a kid? Honestly, are you really living the life exactly the way? Probably not. "His eyes I can see again, I need You here." Singing to God, letting Him know that the singer needs Him. POD switches who they are referring to in their songs very quickly if you really look at the lines. They switch from first person to third to second very rapidly in many of their songs which is okay since this is poetry, not an essay. To the audience "In your mind, nobody's listening. It's alright not to feel again, just breathe again..." He reassures the audience that they will be okay. They just need to live their life and have faith in themselves. "Time after time I walk the fine line, But something keeps bringing me back. Time after time I'm going in blind, I don't know which way I need to go..." He's admitting to God that he makes mistakes, that he isn't perfect and sometimes he quite frankly isn't there. He pleads to God though that no matter how far he parts, he does come back and he is there again. The second verse goes back to talking with the audience, "Feels like your world is caving in And I cry, failing to understand, I wish I can... It's alright if you're missing him, In his eyes you can live again, Free within!" He is saying that he is in the same boat as the listener, that he too is going through problems. He is saying that he too at times is without God. But he is also saying that with God as your eyes you will find your way through your problems just like me. The fact that the second chorus is much faster and a lot happier suggests a turn-around of events. Things will get better and life will be better with God's eyes as your own. The last verse specifically rests with POD confessing to God that they do make mistakes that they do wander away from God's plan. They ask God if they will always come back to Him, no matter what they do or where they go. The chorus also tells God that He needs to let the band know which way they need to go when they state that they don't know which way they need to go more and more definitely as the song progresses. They still ask if they can always go back, even if they are going the completely wrong way. The very end of the song has the same two words that started the song off. "one day..." This could mean one of two things really, first that the person just needs to keep living because one day he/she will find God again. Also, I took it as one day the person will find God again, but that could be one day too late as God is the beginning and God is the end.
