This song is overall about a relationship that he didn't want to end.
The chorus:
"Because days! Come and go!
But my feelings for you are forever
Because days come and go
But my feelings for you are forever
One last kiss...
Before I go...
Dry your tears...
It is time to let you go..." indicates that he has already lost his love in this relationship and is ready to begin getting over her but wants "one last kiss"
However I feel it digs deeper
The lyrics "Take these memories
That are haunting me
Of a paper man cut into shreds
By his own pair of scissors" Show resentment to himself. Basically it implies that he could have stayed with her and been happy, but ( and this is just my opinion) either neglected the relationship or pushed her away, basically cutting his "paper self" to shreds when he realized that HE was the one that drove the relationship away.
Furthermore he goes into the many typical stages of heartbreak: Replacement, Numbing, etc. This is demonstrated in the lyrics:
"Sitting by the fire
On a lonely night
Hanging over from another good time
With another girl...
Little dirty girl
You should listen to this story of her life
You're my heroin-
In this moment I'm lonely
fulfilling my darkest dreams
All these drugs, all these women
I'm never forgiving...
this broken heart of mine"
But really what makes this song so fascinating is that it isn't a linear story and you have to find your way along to piece it together.
It is a great piece and I hope for more passionate and powerful music from Papa roach.

It's about an ex
one that you loved dearly
and that even though it was a failed relationship
he will always love her inside his/her heart
"little dirty girl"...."all these drugs all these women"
is probably what he did to try to get over the ex (be it drugs, alcohol, other girls)
the girls is probably messing the relationship up and the guy is trying to help her but it is no longer working and his patience has run out so with
"one last kiss"
he knows he has to let her go

My personal feelings are that the songs refer to a love/hate relationship that an addict has with his addiction. I have a parent who has had an addiction problem for over 5 years. This song just seems to fit.
The addict LOVES the feelings that the drug can bring, however, when it's done with; in a sober moment (In the brightest hour of my darkest day, I realized what was wrong with me) you realize what you have done. That this is not the best time for you. (It's been a helter-sketler romance from the start).
You remember the past uses and what it has caused (Take these memories, That are haunting me). What you have done to yourself (Of a paper man cut into shreds, By his own pair of scissors).
You decide to leave it behind, but not before you get one "last kiss" (one last use).
One last kiss...
Before I go...
Dry your tears...
It is time to let you go...
But, you can't leave it behind....it sucks you back in.
One Last Kiss.....

I think this song is about a relationship that ended badly or in death. When he says you're my heroine he is cheating on the one he loves. After they broke up and he is telling his mistress you're my heroin, he is saying he is addicted to her. He is also talking about using drugs over his ex girlfriend and he may have lost his former girlfriend to death and he is having trouble moving on.

Ok if you watch the video, it'll tell you exactly what the song is about...he was seeing this girl and they were perfect and everything and she died...it doesn't really say how but either she was shot or something but I think she actually was hit by a car....bc then he kills himself in the same place bc he can't live without her and then when he says "one last kiss" right at the end, he gets his one last kiss, and they walk off together.
its not about drug addictions or anything like that.

Honestly I apply to this song. I've gone through it and everything so I know how to explain. It's about a girl who does many things wrong and he can't get through to her and tell her what she's leaving behind if she goes. but no matter how many times she leaves or messes he's always going to love her.
feeling just don't go away... That's the message of the song

This song could be perceived in many ways. It could be about a love/hate relationship. It could be about a relationship that fell apart because someone died. It could even be about drug or alcohol addiction. In any way its mainly about a relationship that wasnt healthy but the person couldn't or wasn't ready to let go.
