I this song is about the singer's son, and how his ex got custody of him. (thus "can you take it all away"). They used to be happy, but her leaving makes her seem fake, in his eyes. Its been taken all away from him, and he sees she shoved it in his face. All the meanwhile, he still misses his son. All this makes everything blurry.
Thats what I got outta this song. Hope it gave you some insight.

Ok, this song is about a guy and his son (u guys were right). but him and his wife get a divorce, leaving the kid in the mother's custody. "My whole world surrounds you stumble then I crawl" meaning his kid was his whole life and now he feels empty without him.
"The ocean's inbetween us, but that's not very far" is about how his son is far away, but he will always love him, no matter where he is.

The lyrics clearly speaks for itself, from the part where he had the pain from his wife to begin with and the custody battle he has going on with her. The video also shows how miserable the life of her ex-wife is with another and the limited visitation rights he has for his son. Its more on the pain that this poet has been through and telling it like it is.

It's about Wesley and his son... I always thought it was about a guy and his girlfriend but I was wrong... It's about how him and his ex had a son and she gets custody and ends up dating some jerk that abuses her... Wesley gets his son for the weekend or whatever and they have a great time... but in the end his ex takes him back with her and Wesley is all alone.

I was always thinking that the guy is referring to one person and not his ex and son. To be consistent, it's like a friendship betrayal thing. Perhaps the friend you betrayed him is his best friend and crush(referring to a girl). His background could be some kind of a high school loser/misfit(or something like that), then he has a best friend he used to get along, perhaps in school. The line about the ocean between them that isn't very far is an exaggeration of their remote lives, separate ways. His best friend undergone peer pressure and perhaps his friend chose to get along with a group of (what she thinks)cooler people. Maybe this girl told her friends how ridiculous his best friend and might have said/did something embarrassing in front of many people. Some sort of backstabbing could be possible too. The guy said the girl was influenced by fake and empty people. He also saying that the girl's new set of friends deceived her of what to believe. She changed according how her friends tell nd like her. This is emphasized on the chorus part..

i listened to this song out of random, ive known this song a very long time, always enjoyed it, but my interpretation is about a guy having problems with his gf or girl that he is in love with, because she doesnt understand him as he understands her. thus being blurry, but he feels as if she is all thats left, like everyone else and everything isnt real she is the only real thing left in his eyes.
