Bicycle Race by Queen can have many different meanings but I think the most obvious interpretation is about freedom. "I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like." The writer of this song just wants freedom. He believes in this and that but when it comes to critics they all agree with him because he is famous. But he really just wants freedom.

My long understanding of this is that is a very simple song crafted when Freddie M was on holiday in France. Apparently a stage of the Tour De France cycle race came through the town past his hotel. He was mocking the encompassing euphoria of the event and the all-consuming passion of the supporters etc overshadowing some of the real issues of the world at the time.

He wrote this song while High on Weed while taking a bath. Who knows what this song is about but it's a fun one to listen to thats for sure.
