Queen: Fat Bottomed Girls Meaning
Song Released: 1978
Fat Bottomed Girls Lyrics
All down beside that red firelight
Are you gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin' world go round
Hey I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew life before...

THE SONG IS ABOUT FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS. what aren't you people getting? not every song written in the 70's has to have some background story. freddy was gay, it doesn't mean the women in the song were actually men. that's kind of a weird thing to think. i'm a big booty girl who rides a bike everywhere. the song celebrates women who are curvy, confident, and proud of it; not the beautiful blue-eyed stick-thin women that every other song about a girl is about. GET ON YOUR BIKES AND RIDE: show off that amazing big butt. very simple, people. don't think too hard.

Come on man did you just want to hear your self talk?? It is about a young innocent young man (Possably Brian May who wrote the song) who takes a liking to a certain prositute who he says "made a big man out of me". "Down by the Redfire Lights"-red light district.

Queen guitarist Brian May wrote this. It's about a young man who comes to appreciate women of substantial girth.
May told Mojo magazine October 2008: "I wrote it with Fred in mind, as you do especially if you've got a great singer who likes fat bottomed girls… or boys." -

Fat Bottomed Girls = FBG.
Now let's say you replace bottom with a more commonly used word that is rated PG-13 instead of PG. What letter would it start with? And you replace the B with an A what word do you see?
Not all Queen songs are about being gay. But some are. Like "I like to ride my bicycle" -

How about fanny was his real nanny with whom he had skinny-boy-fat-girl sex, which was a sort of initiation into the world of big round boo-tay.....or maybe it was his youthful fantasy that he wished he had realized.

it's about Gibson guitars...hence the "fat bottom" portion of the song...misleading everyone in thinking that it's about volumptious girls riding their bikes :)

Wrong :p
This song is about the true fans to music, the so called "fat bottom girls" who buy every album, and worship the band; not just the people who come to the shows. It is about how the fat bottom girls make "the rockin' world go round" literally by buying these albums. This is a tribute to those people.
Oh and fanny his nanny was one of these girls, who opened him to music, and by making him a "fat" boy she is basically exposing him to music. fanny probably does not exist in real life. -

Its about being gay and liking men not women. A "Fat Bottomed Girl" is a man. They are going to let it "all hang out." At the end, they urge..."Get on your bikes and ride." Basically its about anal sex.

Brian May prefers Prostitutes to average women. He writes about traveling the world and seeing all kinds of girls. But he can't wait to get to the dirty ladies when he's back from the road.

OMFG... This song is about brian may as a young boy he got raped by his babysitter (nanny whatever you wanna call them) she was a larger woman and was a huge milestone in his life... Made him the man he is today... He sothing to do with prostitution... You guys gotta listen less to the obvious words and listen more to the metaphores
