This song is definitely NOT a Nazi Song, have you lost your mind???
The Version with "Heil Adolf Hitler" has been created by some stupid little guys who thought it would be funny to put a disgusting lyric like that into a beautiful Rammstein-Song!

NAZI song you reckon? Haha, that's the funniest thing I've ever heard!! It was actually written for a German boxer for his entrance theme but was never used. Hence the intro counting to ten. and just before the chorus where they sing "And the world counts aloud to ten". NAZI, hahahahahahaha!

Wow...that first guy is the biggest penis in the free world! "Sonne"...a nazi song?

Yes, I'm sure some brain-dead loser who made the "Hitler" version is spitting nails now because Rammstein decided to rip off his song but use completely different lyrics and call it "Sonne".

Rammstein created and perfected the song "Sonne", not some random asshole who only used the music and put his own pathetic crap of a voice and lyrics in it.

Don't ever associate Rammstein with that "Hitler" piece of shit song again!

Again: It's NOT a Nazi-Song!
You obviously have no clue about the political orientation of Rammstein. If you understood the lyrics of "Links, 2, 3, 4" you would know better!
And by the way: Snow-White dying is a metaphor for losing your innocence.

We may not have asked Rammstein, but others have and they fiercely deny being nazis or having any association with any other radical political group. And in several interviews about the song, they have said that their intentions were indeed to make a boxer theme.

Rammstein... Nazi?
Sorry but that aint true... I can tell you that as a a german living in America "Nazi!" is one of the most stinging insults you'll ever hear. If Rammstein were Nazi, they would be outlawed. No German would listen to them.

These guys are just dumb trolls who want attention.

One important internet rule: don't feed the troll!

As german being, I know better about the lyrics from rammstein, but it seems to be nice for some americans to call anything and everything Nazi, these ones with NO historical knowledge!

Sounds like Jews pointing NAZI at a good German band because they don't know anything about German history or the German Language. This is no Nazi song! LOL....it about a boxer

Okay if you wanted to call every single German song a Nazi song, we might as well say that every American song has something to do with massacring indians and taking their lands. Stop being so damn ignorant

Seriously, whoever stands up for the first guy is probably an asshole himself.

Anyone who claim Rammstein is Nazi is stupid!!! I am American and I think all Americans walking around talking this kinda of shit is just plan silly. Learn about culture not what you want to know or think. I love Rammstein they are my favorite band and I am even learning German. I love everything about it and hope to visit Germany someday!! Go Rammstein you are beautiful!

I agree that everyone has a right to have an opinion, but Rammstein a Nazi band? If you insist on calling every German a Nazi then you must also associate every American with slavery. If you read your history, you'll find that many Germans even during the WWII era hated Hitler and would never have taken part in his plan if they had not been forced to. Like they said earlier, Nazi is the nastiest insult you can call a German. I would know, seeing as I am German, and I can tell you firsthand that if a person supports what Hitler did, no one else will even look at that person. Sonne is exactly as they have already said: a boxing song.

This song wasn't written for a German boxer, but for one of the Klitchkos
and Rammstein are definitely NO NAZI

Yes that is right, but very few people know what a Klitchkos is and the closest English word is boxer.

What the hell, rammstein...nazi, who the hell said that? The sonne music video is a sick, twisted version of snow white, as said by Slipknot. It is about the miners getting abused by snow white who is bigger than them. They don't like it when she is murdered thoiugh, as she was like their mother, but the also see the bright side, thats where the lyrics, 'hier kommt der sonne'come in, because that means here comes the sun. Emough said methinks.

Oh yes, good job for fucking up with the nazi comment. Though, everyone jumped the gun on that one, do you not think? they did not say that all amreicans were calling Rammstein or any other german band nazi. oh well.

You guys are funny, but I think the song is about that innocent looking people may not always be so innocent.

OMG, terrantry. Have you been asleep during your history-lessons? Nazis were left-winged? Who told you this shit? They were extremly right-winged.
And as far as I know, Rammstein wrote the song "Links 2 3 4" to show everyone that they are NO Nazis, because some people tought they were.

Loved this song and I always thought it was about nuclear destruction ie the original plan with the Hiroshima scene. Even if it wasn't meant to be that way it fits so well...it explains why the world loudly counts to ten at once in an almost mourning fashion (i cant help but think to the daisy commercial), the sun bursts from human hands and folly, and lays hotly on people. It almost gives chills thinking of it that way.

That's ridiculous!
I mean...Rammstein are absolutely NO NAZI, so why should they praise the swastika?

Check out the wikipedia page for 'Sonne': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonne_(song)
Written for the boxer but too heavy to be used. Apparently it was playing in the background while some were watching Snow White (ever watched cartoons with music playing in the background - when they seem to sync up it's really cool) one of the members allegedly did some video editing of Snow White to do a rough music video - they stuck with the idea (rejecting many many other video ideas) and did the super awesome Snow White one properly. Yes, the Hiroshima theme possibility did come up and the lyrics did fit rather well. Rammstein LOVE wordplay (but mostly German speaking folk would understand their double entendres and other poetic manipulations), so there are so many themes that your mind can manipulate the lyrics to fit. Snow White - the bright, glittering queen that the dwarves love, worship, would do anything for...Hiroshima - 'Here comes the sun' boom! Light cooking everything and everyone, be afraid-don't be afraid, the sun that doesn't set at night.....so on and so on...
