well you see, Getting up at 7 am is her trying to emphasize that she wants to elope but she likes her cereals too much then when she comes up to the car she's talking about the average American's position on whether America should have gone and raped Iraq this is their indecision which is shown as

    "Kickin’ in the front seat
    Sittin’ in the back seat
    Gotta make my mind up
    Which seat can I take?"

Then the rest of the song is about a Black rapper trying to rape her and her trying to establish a "Party" the party can be assumed to be the Nazi party and we can also assume her Anti-Zionist position and in the end she does this so she can have "Fun Fun Fun"

then she realizes that she wants to eat chicken so she looks forward to the weekend :)

    In conclusion, i am right.......

we gonna have a ball today: she likes big cocks
friends by my side or something like that: lesbian

In general its a porno song about being bisexual.

This is probably the dumbest song I've ever heard. What is there to interpret? I guess we could try to guess the IQ of Rebecca Black or any moron who likes this song. Please don't act like this song is any deeper than it is. Some things are what they seem.

I have always liked this song. I mean, come on ppl, she was 14. NONE of you have any talent or drive and could never do anything creative! And it has lead to her having a music career...

Well, my sister had actually told me that the song "Friday" is actually based on the story on JFKs assassination because JFK had been assassinated on Friday and in the song it says "Friday,Friday got to get down on Friday" along with "Getting Down on Friday" And JFKs wife had told him to get down when he was getting shot at so that the bullets would not hurt him. And when the song says " Kickin in the front seat" I'm 90% sure that JFKs driver that day was named Kickin. So yes when ever I listened to this song I always try to listened to what she is saying while trying to remember about JFKs assassination because if you do I'm sure you while find a few matching parts. Oh and the morning of JFKs assassination he ordered a big breakfast with the usual bacon eggs toast and they didn't have it or something like that so in stead he had a bowl of cereal

there are many references to this song.

gotta have my bowl- or "bull", no one says "cereal bowl" in that manner

as i catch my bus, i see my friends- the conformist, listen to the law or to equals?

kicking in the front seat and back seat- references to anal.

the idea that she was forced to take the back- reference to rosa parks, probably a racist joke about rebecca's last name.

    getting down- $#*

yesterday was thursday- obviously, there was something else there that was bad, but then the parents changed it. plus, the line questions the intelligence of teenagers, makes them look dumb.

the pervert- they are all partying, then some pervert comes. for a happy-keyed and partying song, i sure is a harsh way of saying, "bad things can happen if underagers drive or talk to the pedos."

but the pedo must have done good, for

It's pretty much a song about partying on Friday and getting out of school.
To me this girl didn't write this song, some strange writer or songwriter or something must of wrote it and made her high pitched shit.

Unlike others here, I believe this song nor Rebecca Black is stupid. If she's famous and EVERYONE knows about her why is that considered stupid? I'm sure those who are saying she's stupid are just jealous that it's not them. Even though her singing talent isn't the best it's not the worst either. Everyone can sing, it's just some people sing better or worse than others. I believe Rebecca sounds beautiful without autotune. I just don't think Rebecca deserves all this hate for a song that did not fit her voice well or autotune. Please do not get angry for thisis my opinion out of many others.

It is writen by evil creeps, it is ALL about young girls getting brainwashed into accepting fornication and sodomy as NORMAL and 100% ACCEPTABLE - front seat/back seat. how gross.

Why must we debate about it?

Honestly, this song is a piece of ****. It has no meaning, (Partying on Fridays is NOT a meaningful idea. Go ahead, enjoy your self, but don't pretend it is something worth singing about!

Why the hell did Ryan Seacrest introduce her to a music agent? I mean,he is a cute host (I am one of the proud few who think so) but after being a 10 yr veteran of Idol, he must realize that Black has NO singing talent at all.

God, I thought Justin Bieber was bad. No, compared to Rebecca Black, he completely deserves those Billboard Awards, Grammies, and whatever else the pre-teen hearthrob has snagged. Holy Schizzles, America, if this is the singing quality we're aiming for, then I pray DEARLY for the future of our country. I might as well let my father, who cannot sing FOR HIS LIFE, make a record. I mean, he's Elton John when Rebecca Black is being compared to him!

I hope this is a fad...if not, Miss Black, welcome to talentless Hollywood queendom.

'Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal' is about consumerism! 'kicking in the front seat, sitting in the back seat' is about the US's foreign policy. Front seat; Afghanistan, back seat; Iraq and how America has to make its mind up. And looking forward to the weekend is about broken promises and the current economical climate. the words 'partying, partying yeah', are written in quotations, they are sarcastic

This is the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The Kennedy administration used to like to party, party, party. Kennedy could not decide on seats before he died on a Friday. Look at Ms. Black's outfit. Her friends are wearing Jackie's colors. Did not Kennedy's Dallas vehicle ride near a school bus?

the song's a bit sad actually. it shows the youths mind: not very smart, a bit idiots all of them, putting their minds only on the little things in life without having any meaning to it. they're always expecting and waiting for the fun to come but they can't enjoy the moment. happiness is a bit forced on them, as i see it.

I think that the "which seat can i take" represents making decisions in life. It shows that difficult decisions can be regarded as simple when one is a teen, so young people should enjoy their life, not worry so much about their futures.

so this song is pretty much:
    -the worst lyrics ever written
    -awful singing
    -stupid meaning
    -crappy video
-and I'm pretty sure the music sounds a lot like the song "Baby" by Justin Bieber. Rebecca Black makes him look really good and makes me hate Friday.
This song is a disgrace and an insult to stupid songs everywhere!!! Stupidest piece of shit ever.

This song is deeper than it appears, you can see the slant from the start where the calming "yeah"'s show the civility and calmness of the youth to the semi-rebels these preteens become breaking laws such as skipping school, to under age driving to finely near hectic Nazi rallies in the very home of the youths.
This song first starts with her day of getting up on time and part-taking in a nice child-approved breakfast to going and supporting public transportation. During this society appealing demonstration of waiting peacefully until her friends drive up (in their parents) stolen car driving underage. Ms. Black falls to the peer pressure and then goes on a rampage standing and being in a car with out a seatbelt. She then met up at an anti-something rally. It is at this time me meet with a African-American with knows and has predicted Ms. Black's rebellious ways probably hoping to rape her (at least he promoted safety by checking lanes before crossing. And than the plot twist at the end shows that she was behind this whole rally by dictating her peers.
