This is a song about Anthony's sister. I heard on an interview. And her break-up with a boyfriend. And this is HIS feelings about the situation.

"Raised by my dad and the girl of the day" (whatever girl he was with)
"She was the girl left all alone" (his sister)
"I will never know why the twilight of love had arrived" (just the natural progression of young love)
"Twisting and turning your feelings are burning you're breaking the girl" (explainable)
"She meant you no harm" and
"He loves no one else" (I think just explains the end of yound relationships that fall apart for no reason but still hurt.

Anthony was experiencing the pain his sister was living after this break-up, probably her first.
