That one anonymous guy is wrong. His dad moved back to Michigan when AK was older. He mentions to the "idiots" to read scar tissue. He needs to read the book himself. The book clearly states that his dad moved back... fuckface...

Having grown up in Ann arbor, Michigan I found this song to be a good representation of my childhood. We love cinnamon. People are very friendly and open.

"Cry me a future where the revelations run amok.....lion and tigers come running just to steal your love"

The above verse (to me) seemed like it was saying that in Michigan there are revelations (facts) that are out in the open (for example, the lions sucking, red wings are the best..) Everyone knows the lions won't be going to the superbowl (still love em!) and everyone knows the red wings will be there come season end.

"Out on the farm..............lions and tigers come running just to steal your love"

This line invokes memories of my backyard where there would be so many ducks during the summer (and winter!). Ducks are plentiful in Michigan. Deep in the mitten probably refers to the city of Detroit (since it is located very deep in the mitten if you were to look at it that way!) where the Detroit lions and tigers come stealing your luck because you always want them to be good but they are always mediocre or worse.

By the way, Michigan (if you can man up to the cold) is BY FAR the sweetest state (in terms of people, sports, summers, parties, girls, drugs) in the U.S. Anyone who says otherwise is just ignorant or doesn't know what they are talking about.
