"Share with me the blankets that you're wrapped in, because it's cold outside"
The blanket is a metaphor for the barrier she has put around herself, and he feels like he isn't being nurtured, that she is apprehensive.
"Share with me the secrets that you kept in, because it's cold inside"
These secrets have eaten her up, and like any other girl, she has kept it inside. when you keep secrets, they turn you cold. When you open up to someone, it becomes warm.

The guy wants the girl to let him in.

"And your slowly shaking fingertips show that you're scared like me so, let's pretend we're alone"
The two are only thinking of what will happen in the future, and that they're scared of what could happen. They're scared of being seen together, by themselves, in a way, because the girl doesn't want to share her secrets; and she know she will someday. If she sees herself doing that, it will eat away at her. The guy still wants to see her, he has feelings for her, and he is trying to do this right. He does not want to be seen by her, because he feels like there may be one small thing to ruin this moment.

"And I know you may be scared, and I know we're unprepared, but I don't care"
The guy wants to be spontaneous about this, so that the nervousness doesn't envelop them. They're unprepared because they have no idea how to be together, how to be one.
He doesn't care though, because he's willing to learn how to be with her.

And she acts tough and invincible, but she admits she's vulnerable, and she tells him that he is not vulnerable because it says "Tell me what makes you think that you are invincible. Smiling on the outside, you're so sure.. Please don't tell me that I'm the only one that's vulnerable." She is letting him know that since she's soft on the inside, one day, the guy will get to see her true colors.

Stupid lines and rhymes go through the guy's head...

He's trying to do this right...

He wants it to work.
