This song is about... Well, the obvious! Nuff said really but if you wanted to delve deeper than that it means.... What comes from the lips usually are lies but what comes from the hips is more physical. Words are sometimes just words but body language and physical movement is sometimes a lot more involuntary. What goes on with shakiras hips are her business but whatever there doing there not lying. She's using them to make a point, to get her way, to make lots of dosh!! And it worked! Well done shakira, ditch the guy in the video though!

It's all in the hips! lol it's about a girl and guy that meet...well...dancing and she's feeling him and vice versa but she's sorta teasing and playing hard to get. He's completely trying to get her home (maybe to just get to know her better) but he's definitely intrigued by her either way.
