I personally feel that this song is about a teenager or a young person who is extremely insecure and who is trying to play safe by cutting himself off from the society.He doesn't want to admit his flaws and keeps everything to Himself and is furious with God for not making him special...However He finds solace in loneliness and believes that's what makes him unique

Diluted is a song written (in my opinion) about a person who is incapable to continue living. They are haunted by others, and themselves, and may have to deal with emotional problems such as MPD, and Schizophrenia. Or maybe he's just extremely depressed. Either way, the lyrics are more than relatable. -Corey Taylor
